Lance's POV
6:00 PM
I arrived at Keith's house just now. My body was exhausted. Today was seriously a busy day. After walking Shiro's dog and fixing Allura's bathtub, I could use a break and take a nice long nap. And there was only one person in the world I wanted to do that with.
I walked to the backyard, Noah was putting pieces of wood together. Another shed right next to the one they already have. "What's up?"
Noah stands up and stretches his back with a monstrous groan. "Eh... the shed's got a large hole in the back. Gotta build a new one..."
"How'd that happen?" I go to the back to inspect it. It was huge.
"Some animal..." he sighs in disappointment. "Pass me the hammer?" I tossed it to him and he catches it. "Is Keith inside?"
"Most likely came back from your farm by now."
My farm? What was Keith doing there? "For what?"
"To pick up some cherries. Got a letter from your family saying that they have a delivery for us" Noah says. Since when?
"There was no delivery..." I say. Unless my parents recently added a cherry tree in the farm, we didn't grow any cherries. "We don't have any..."
"What!" He booms, causing me to jump a little. "If there were no cherries on your farm then who on earth sent that letter?"
Uneasiness rose within my gut. Keith has to be home by now. On my way inside the house, I spotted Jess washing her hands in the kitchen. "Jess?"
"Oh. Hi, Lance, how are you?" She turns to give me a warm smile. "Has Keith returned home yet?"
"I was gonna ask you the same thing..."
Her smile turned into a confused worried frown. "Huh? But Noah sent him to the farm hours ago..."
I explained to her about the false letter and she listened carefully. She sighs and takes her jacket from the coat racket and grabs her keys quickly. I was just an anxious as she was. We got onto the boat and I started paddling quickly despite being so tired. I hope my family was treating him well. He was most likely taken inside for a talk or something.
Once we arrived at the farm, i jumped off and ran to my doorbell. No answer. I peaked through the window nervously. No one was home but my brother who was sleeping on the sofa. I groaned and banged on the window several times until he woke up and gave me a constipated disturbed look. "Come on... open the door you twat" I whisper to myself anxiously. Lucas stands up lazily and stretched his arms. Come on! Hurry hurry hurry! He walks over to the door and unlock it slowly. I swung it open with all my strength and he jerks back confused and a little scared.
"*yawn* L-Lance? Is that you... I must be seeing things-"
"No, it's really me" I shake him in hopes of him being fully awake. "Emergency. Have you seen Keith lately?"
"Your boyfriend? No. Alice and I just got home thirty minutes ago..." he says with concern. "Was he suppose to come over?" I shake my head.
Lucas slips into his worn out sandals and walks to the backyard, looking around for him. He turns and shrugs. Alice comes out from the back door and sees me. She smiles gleefully at the sight of seeing me again, but her smile dies down when she reads everyone's worried facial expressions. "What's going on?"
"His boyfriend went missing..." Lucas sighs. "I uh... I don't know what to do. Shit."
Keith's aunt was almost crying by now. This wasn't healthy for her. I rubbed her back. "Jess don't cry, we'll find him, I promise" I cooed.
