My eyes fluttered open and my view went to the clock on the nightstand. Twelve in the morning? Too late... this is what happens when I try falling asleep again after waking up in the middle of the night.Keith was still asleep under my arms. I let go and sat up, nudging him a little. "Hey psst... wake up. We have to go somewhere today" I said remembering his transplant. Of course, he still doesn't know about it, but I'll tell him on the way there. I'm just hoping that he'd be okay with it. The guy's pretty brave right? Surgery shouldn't be his biggest fear.
My boyfriend didn't move and I nudged him again, a little rougher this time. "Keith come on wake the hell up! We have to go somewhere!"
Why the hell won't he move. I was getting really worried. Don't tell me someone broke in and killed him in his sleep... don't tell me that.
His body was still warm though. I threw my legs over to the other side and straddled him. My hands snaked up his shirt, revealing part of his cute belly. I pressed my palm against his chest, praying to hear some heartbeats.
A thump there, and another one here.
Good. I sighed in relief and pat his cheeks several times, earning the sound of small claps. His eyes fluttered open and he aggressively pushed me off of him. "Aw come on baby why do you have to be like that?" I laughed.
"You're sitting on my dick it feels weird" he sighs. "What were you even doing?"
"I tried to wake you up... you didn't answer" my laughter dies down. "Keith... please don't scare me like that again. Promise me." I stuck out my pinky finger, waiting for him to intertwine his with mine.
"I will make no such promises" he smiles a little and gets off the bed. "I'm sorry... but stop being so paranoid will ya? I'm fine."
I sat on the bed and watched my boyfriend make some hot coffee. Hotel breakfast was over by now... we woke up too late. So I guess we'll need to hit iHop later right? But then I remembered something. Keith can't eat. He's going to need a life changing surgery in a few hours.
"Keith, don't drink that" I say, getting off the bed and take the coffee from his hand, placing it back down.
"Huh? What's wrong with it?" He was so confused.
"Keith babe... I have to take you to the hospital. I'm sorry no one told you, but we actually wanted to take you on vacation so you can get a heart transplant" I explained. He has to be happy about it. Keith stays silent. He was just staring at my face blankly. God... please say something. Please.
He takes his eyes off me and glances at the lamp instead, running his hands through his hair. "I'm gonna take a shower..."
He walks to his luggage and pulls out a red towel, heading to the bathroom and turning on the light switch. I followed him inside, he groans and tries to push me out the door. But he gave up, realizing that I was physically stronger and there was no way i'd move.
"Go away Lance, I need to shower!"
"Let me shower with you" I smile, locking the bathroom door from behind.
Keith didn't answer me when I told him he needed surgery. It's as if I never mentioned it in the first place. But in the shower, i'll say it again and theres no way he can just walk away from that. 'You're so clever, Lance...' I thought to myself with a smirk.
Keith's face widens and his mouth slightly agape. "Wh-Lance! No no no..." he shakes his head nervously. "That's too exposed. I don't feel comfortable."
