Aisha shot her rocket and caused an explosion nearby. The guards jumped, some even falling to the ground in shock. This gave us the time we needed to get to our feet. Even cuffed, we managed to kick some ass.

Pooch grabbed a nearby gun and shot a guard in the leg.

"Payback's a bitch," he said with a grin.

Cougar fought one of the guards to the ground and stood over him. It was the head asshole. Cougar glared down at him and sneered, "Never touch my hat" before kicking him directly in the face, knocking him unconscious.

I pulled a bobby pin from my hair and picked the locks on our cuffs. Cougar collected the weapons dropped by the guards and distributed them to us.

"Can you stand?" Jensen asked Pooch.

"I've been shot in both my legs," Pooch stated with annoyance. "What kind of dumbass question is that?!"

"So now w're Mr. Grumpypants," Jensen teased as he and Cougar helped Pooch to his feet.

We quickly scrambled to a few nearby cargo holders, which were now acting as the perfect hide out for us. Clay turned the corner, carrying two massive machine guns in his hands. My eyes widened.

"Shit, I need one of those," I joked. Clay smirked at me and threw one my way. I caught it with ease and chuckled with delight, like a child on Christmas morning. "Bless you, Colonel Clay."

"Clay!"

We all turned to see Aisha. She had a gun held up to Clay, and she did not look happy.

"Did you kill him?" she demanded. "My father found out about Max's real plans. He was going to stop him. Did you kill him?"

"No," I spoke up, stepping in front of Clay. "I did."

"Jo..." Clay said, putting a hand on my shoulder. I shrugged it off and stared at him.

"Shut up, Clay. I told you, this is not on you." I turned back to Aisha, who had her gun pointed at me. "I shot Fadhil. I killed him. It was me, alright Aisha? Clay was merely a distraction so I could sneak up on your dad. I pulled the trigger. If you wanna kill me, then kill me. Right here, right now. But if you do, I just want you to know that my dying wish is for you to help these losers to clear their names." I looked back at my team for a moment. "They don't deserve the rep they have. They're good people, every single one of them." I turned back to Aisha. "They all have futures, they all deserve a good life; a normal one."

I didn't realize there were tears in my eyes. I blinked them away quickly and stared Aisha down. Her gun was still raised. At this point, I was ready for whatever was about to happen.

Instead of shooting me, though, Aisha turned and shot just over my shoulder. I could almost hear the bullets whiz past and hit the guards that had managed to sneak up on us. I flinched, but I refused to look away from Aisha.

She glared at me, but lowered her gun. "Let's go get Max."

She brushed past me and turned to Clay. "Wade said 'boat'," he informed us. "That means we're at the docks. Pooch, can you stand?"

Pooch looked at Clay in disbelief before sarcastically laughing. "Oh! This is stupid question day! This is stupid question day and nobody decided to tell me. No, that's cool. That's awesome."

"Come on, Legless Pooch. I got you," Jensen announced as he helped Pooch up and hoisted him over his shoulder.

We rushed to the van. I jumped in the driver's seat with Cougar by my side while everyone else got in the back. Clay grabbed the nearby first aid kit and started working on Pooch's injured legs while I drove.
