Epilogue

Cougar, Aisha, Clay, Jensen and I stood in the rain, waiting for Pooch's report. I was bundled up in one of Jensen's sweaters with the hood up, and a jacket of my own over it. But it was still cold enough to make my nose turn a shade of pink.

"It's a boy!" Pooch announced through his mic. "It's a boy, Clay! He looks just like me!"

"Congrats, " Clay said, before popping a bottle of champagne and sending the contents flying high in the sky. We all laughed and squealed, celebrating Pooch's new arrival. He had been so excited for this. I was glad he got to be there.

As Clay took a sip from the champagne, I looked over at Jensen. Like everyone else, he was happy for Pooch. Since the whole thing with Max somewhat ended, he seemed a lot brighter and happier. I couldn't blame him. I felt happier, too. All of that dangerous stuff was over and we were finally together.

"I'm pregnant."

The celebration stopped. Aisha had the champagne bottle raised to her lips and was about to take a sip, while Cougar was reaching for it next. I could feel everyone's eyes on me, but mine were still trained on Jensen, who was just as shocked as everyone else.

"You're what?" Aisha asked, the first to break the silence.

Not breaking my eye contact with Jensen, I smirked. "Which one of you wants to be the one to break the news to Pooch that we're gonna have a mini Jensen running around?"

Jensen quickly wrapped his arms around my torso and lifted me up in the air. I giggled before leaning down to kiss him on the lips. The cheers returned, this time for Jensen and I.

A few months ago, I probably would've freaked out at the thought of being pregnant, let alone with Jensen's child. But now, the threat of Max was over. We knew what he looked like. If he came back, we had him and he knew that. I felt safe and I wasn't afraid to be with Jensen.

I pulled away to rest my head on Jensen's.

"We're having a baby," he breathed.

I couldn't contain my smile. "You're gonna be a dad."

"You're gonna be a mom."

My smile widened so much my cheeks nearly hurt. I took Jensen's head in my hands and kissed him again.

*Months Later*

"We're taking a big chance here," Aisha said.

"They're getting slaughtered," Clay added.

I snuggled up next to Jensen on the bleachers as we watched his niece, Holly, play soccer. Jensen had managed to convince Clay, Aisha, Cougar, Pooch and Jolene, Pooch's wife (ironic, I know) to come see one of Holly's games.

I officially had a baby bump. It was only small, but it was big enough that I started getting the perks; people giving up their seats for me, the "you're glowing" compliments, a little less teasing from Pooch (I think that's because he was still trying to comprehend the fact that there was gonna be a baby Jensen soon).

On top of that, Jensen treated me like a princess. Not that he never did before. Actually, I think he was scared to treat me like one before. But I didn't mind now. Probably my pregnant hormones making me soft.

The score for the game was Petunias - 1 and Marigolds, the opponents, 3. And Jensen was getting a little bit too into the game.

"Come on, ref!" he shouted. "Watch number 9, she's throwing elbows!"

I turned to Aisha and lowered my voice to say, "Remind me not to enroll our kid in any sports, please."

Aisha chuckled and winked at me. "I got you covered."

I smiled at her, gratefully. Jensen playfully elbowed me, causing me to laugh and shove him back. Who says things ever changed between us?

"Hey Jo," said Jolene from the front bleacher. "I forgot to compliment you on your nice rock there."

I looked down at my engagement ring in pride. Yeah, you heard right. Jensen proposed. In true Jensen fashion, it was awkward, yet adorable and I just couldn't say no. We weren't exactly sure when we were gonna get married, but we weren't in any rush. Our main focus at the moment was the baby.

Jensen wrapped his arm around my shoulder and kissed the top of my head, causing me to curl into him again.

"Diaper change," Jolene said to Pooch, passing him their adorable little son.

Pooch held his son for a moment before turning to Clay. "Clay, you wanna jump on this for me?"

"I'd rather jump on a live grenade," Clay replied.

"I'm invested. I have $100 on this game."

"Wait a minute, who the hell did you find to bet on a girl's soccer came with?"

Aisha and I raised our hands. Jensen turned to me with wide eyes, almost accusingly.

"You bet against the Petunias?!" he asked.

"No, actually," I replied. "I had to bet on them. With Holly being my future niece and all...and Pooch and Aisha bet on the Marigolds so I had no other choice."

Jensen turned to Pooch and Aisha. "Big mistake. Let's go girl! Let's go girls!"

I chuckled at Jensen's enthusiasm and rested my head on his shoulder. My calm feeling was soon interrupted when Holly was pushed down by a Marigold. Jensen, enraged, jumped up and ran at the coach. Clay, Cougar and Pooch were quickly up after him, trying to pull him away.

I moved down the bleachers to sit next to Jolene, Aisha following not too far behind.

"So," Aisha said to me. "you're gonna marry that, huh?"

I turned back to look at my fiance.

Sure, Jensen was a few things; nerdy, awkward, sometimes annoying, really talkative. But there was other things he was, too. Like passionate, loving, adorable, caring. Anything bad that I once made myself see in him so that I wouldn't admit that I was in love with him had a counter argument to it.

It was the fact that he was perfectly imperfect that really drew me to Jensen, I think. The way he wouldn't let anyone bring him down. That he was himself and he was proud of that fact.

I smiled and turned to look back at Aisha.

"That I am."
