Veronica Lodge's POV

"V...?" A very familiar female voice said, very nervously. I only knew one person who called me that name.

I turned to the other side of the overly soft bed, to see a blonde head of hair. Oh Betty I'm so sorry. But I couldn't say anything. I started at her. Her eyes were big and puffy, she had been crying. She turned her back to me and sighed. I reached out a took her hand.

"Betty Boo don't be upset with me please. I was stupid. You're my best friend. I'll forget about Archie if you want. I'll buy you the designer dress you like. Just please look at me." I pleaded, hoping she'd come around.

"V, I cant do this anymore. I miss you too much. You've been my best friend since 2nd grade. I can't lose you now. Not because of a boy," Betty cried holding a small box in her hand. She wiped her tears and turned around. Betty placed the box in my hand and said, "Here, it might just be a bracelet to you. But it's what's holding our friendship together now."

I looked at the bracelet, perplexed. I smiled. She kept it. It was the friendship bracelets I made for us in 3rd grade, I stopped wearing it in 6th grade when I met Archie. I looked into her hazel eyes, as I slipped the yarn bracelet on.

"Wanna go to the mall now?" I laughed.

     "Yes!" Betty exclaimed.

Hand in hand we got ready and zoomed to the mall. The Riverdale mall is so much better than any other mall out there. Four floors of absolute fashion. Ugh, my closet is nothing compared to this. We went to every store, and luckily didn't run into anyone from school. But, what I didn't tell Betty is that I saw Jughead, Archie, and Reggie eating together, at Pop's on the way here. I mean I'd never expect to see two hotties with Jughead, but I guess he's not that bad. He is a little cute, just a little.

Anywho, speaking of the devils, I spotted them again at the food court. How much can one eat?

"Wanna get some pizza?" Betty asked.

"Um, uh, I, pizza sounds good!" I replied, steering her away from the boys. I didn't want anything coming between me and Betty anymore.

"Hey! Ronnie! Looking good." Reggie said, the smirk on his face was scary.

"Ronnie! I didn't know you were here. You should've sent me a text. Oh Betty! Nice to see you too." Archie grinned.

"B-betty, n-nice to see y-you. You look d-different..." Jughead stuttered, looking down at the floor. I've never seen him so shy.

"Well, well, well. Jughead Jones, you finally decided to show up. I'm still hurt by the way," Betty scowled, "Let's go to V."

"Um, bye Reggie. Bye Jug. Bye bye Archie. Nice to see you as well. Sorry for the run in." I shivered.

Betty grabbed my hand and pulled me away. Boy, is it hard to carry ten shopping bags in each arm, while wearing heels, while running. Ouch ouch ouch. We arrived at the car and Betty drove me home. Didn't even say goodbye when we got there. Humph.

I opened the door to my house with my diamond encrusted key. I expected to be ambushed by my mother and father for where I have been, but I wasn't.

"Daddy! Mother! I'm home!" I said walking up the stairs to their room.

I was terrified to see what was before my eyes. My father lay unconscious on the floor, while mother was no where to be found.

"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy, wake up," I cried, "Mother! Mother, where are you!"
