Veronica Lodge's POV

"Miss. Lodge, your father has two weeks to live. We are trying to figure out what was going on with his system. But there's no evidence of anything wrong with Mr. Lodge. I'm so sorry dear." Dr. Doyle says softly.

I couldn't speak. All this time I've could've spent with him. But I was too worried about Archie and Betty. Now daddy is dying. I only have two weeks to spend with him. I still have to tell him about mom, and might not even wake up.

I go check on him again. The room was once again empty. I search everywhere, every room, he's nowhere.

"Miss, you have to go home now. You are invading other residents privacy." A nurse tells me.

"I can't find my father. He has two weeks to live. I just want to see him. Please where is he!" I plead.

"Miss please come back tomorrow." She says, as she leads me to the door.

No, no, no. I shouldn't be leaving. Just go Veronica. Just leave him. You'll see him tomorrow. Tomorrow.

I get home and I call Archie, "Come over."

I change into my pajamas, as I wait for him. Archie and Cheryl. I take off my makeup. I sit on my bed and wait for Archie. Then I heard him park the car. I rushed downstairs and opened the door.

"Ronnie are you ok?" He asks, walking into the door.

I take his hand and lead him up to my room. We sit on my bed and I pull my "diary" out from my mattress. I hand it to him.

"Read this at home. But for now, can we just talk? Not about my dad. Not about my mother. Not about me being alone in a big house. But about Cheryl. Cheryl and Archie." I say, obviously mad.

"Ron, what are you talking about Cheryl? I don't even talk to her. I don't get what you're saying." He replied.

"I saw Cheryl and Archie under the bleachers, in a heart. Are you sure there's nothing between you?"

"I promise. I promise there's nothing between me and her. There's only one girl for me Ronnie, and it's not Cheryl."

"It's not me either."

I couldn't look at him. There's only one girl for me. I wanted to ask who it was, but I didn't. I didn't want to be heartbroken.

"Do you want to go lay under the stars with me?" I ask.

"Lead the way Ron." He says.

Hand in hand we walk outside. Archie lays his jacket down, and lets me sit on it. I love you Archie. I really do. I wanted to say that so bad, but I didn't. I wanted this moment to last forever. Archie Andrews was telling me about the constellations. Archie Andrews was in my backyard. Archie Andrews loved someone else.

"Who's the girl?" I ask.

"I'm the only one who knows." Archie replies.

"Do you not trust me?"

"I trust you a whole lot. I don't want to tell her though. I don't want to get rejected, by such a pretty girl."

"She's just pretty?"

"She's gorgeous. The only girl that can catch my eye. She lights up my world. I think I might love her. Just a little though."

" She really does mean a lot, doesn't she?"

"She means everything. But she doesn't smile anymore. She broken. I can tell."

"You must miss her smile. I miss my dad's smile. I miss my dad."

"I miss him too. He might've hated me. But he was a good man. He loves you a whole lot. I hope someone will be able to love you as much as him. That's hard to beat."

Just then, I had the urge to move closer to Archie. I looked into his green eyes, and kissed him.

"I love you, Archie Andrews." I say.
