Chapter 11

Veronica Lodge's POV

     "Ronnie, look I love you a lot. And I can't see myself without you. But if I'm going to say a few words at your fathers funeral, you have to do something for me." Archie explains.

     "And what would that be mister?" I ask, flirtatiously.

     "Can you sing?"

     "I've been singing since the first grade. Yes, I can sing! But wait, why would I have to know how to sing...." I

     "Will you make me the happiest little boy alive and perform with me, at the variety show?"

     "Of course! Haha."

     Archie pulls out a ring pop and slides in on my finger. Thank you, he mouths.

     "You're turning into Juggie! A ring pop?" I laugh.

     "Haha I guess I am. Well listen, I have to go. See you at school." Archie says, planting a kiss on my cheek.

     After I watch his car disappear down the street, I head upstairs and get ready for bed. I get lost in my thoughts and fall asleep.

I wake up and shower, the usual. I put on a navy blue dress with the pearls my daddy gave me. I put on my black heels, grab my bag, and rush out the door. I was almost speeding to school to see Archie. But I grew nervous of what people would think of us. As I parked my car, the fear took over.

I walked through the doors of the school, and everyone stopped and stared. Cheryl Blossom walked up to me.

"First Betty takes Jughead, which I didn't care at all about. But you took it a step too far with Archie. He'll never love you like he loved me. Oh wait, you've never heard about me and Archie! Well, take a seat, I'll tell you." Cheryl taunted.

"Archie is my boyfriend, Cheryl. I don't care what happened between you two. That's the past, I'm in the present." I say, calmly.

"Do I sense a battle coming on? You're going to have to have a lot of fire for that, and I don't see any." She fires at me. (wink wink "fires")

"You want fire? Sorry Cheryl Bombshell. My specialty is ice." I snap back.

I walk away with a smirk on my face. Ice. Betty walks up to me, looking a little worried.

"What was that? Are you trying to start a war between you and Cheryl?!" Betty shivers.

"I'm giving her a taste of her own medicine. Easy. Simple. She'll be fine." I say.

"Whatever. Why'd you tell her Archie was your boyfriend. He's not. Wait, is he?"

"Stuff happens Betty Boo. Come on we have to get to science."

The whole class time I can't stop thinking about Archie. He didn't show up first period, and it's really bothering me. After class, I plan to go to the music room. He's always there.

As I'm walking to the music room, I'm swarmed with people. Asking about Archie and Cheryl. I keep walking, I'm alright with all the attention. I get to the music room and the door is closed. I peek through the little window in the door, and I see Archie and Valarie. Valarie! From the pussycats!

"Archie's not your man after all. Way to be icy, liar." Cheryl whispers.

I turn around and slap her. Tears are flooding my eyes. My heart felt as it was stabbed, multiple times. Valarie? And Cheryl! I sit in the bathroom, in front of the mirror. Am I not good enough?

"V? Get up you need to help us!" Betty calls out to me.

I get up, wipe my tears, and rush out of the bathroom. Before my eyes, I see Juggie, Cheryl, and Archie.

"Would you just leave me and my friends alone already! You used me, and I'm over it. But you're not going to treat my friends like crap. Do you understand me?" Jughead snaps.

"What makes you think I'm going to listen to you and your crazy friends. No one wants you here anyway, no one wants any of you!" Cheryl tells basically the whole school.

"Jughead Jones is my best friend. Betty Cooper is my best friend. And Veronica Lodge... Veronica Lodge is my girlfriend. Get over it Cheryl. I don't like you and I never will. Ever. Let those words sink in." Archie says.

"Veronica is your girlfriend? Yet you hide so much from her? What a shame, Ronnie. You're being used. The new girl and the jock I can see it already, basically movie material." Cheryl adds.

"Cheryl may be right for once. Ever since Betty and Jughead started dating, you automatically started "loving" me. Is this a show? Is this fake to you Archie? Am I fake to you? I am your girlfriend. Shouldn't you tell me about you being with Cheryl and Valarie. Why were you practicing music with Valarie? Are we by singing together anymore? I can't do this anymore." I cried.

"Ronnie! Wait!" Archie calls out.
