Veronica Lodge's POV

Archie, Jughead, Betty, and I sat in the waiting room for results. We couldn't believe the accident. Luckily we were all ok, but we might've lost someone. One of Archie's best football friends. He was amazing. The star of the show. Girls loved him. Guys wanted to be him. And we might've killed him.

"Hello? Who's here for Jason Blossom?" A receptionist called out.

"That would be us." Archie choked, as he raised his hand.

     "Follow me please."

We nodded our heads and followed her into the back room. We had previously called Cheryl to tell her the news. But we haven't heard back from her. I was getting worried. He might be dead, because I wanted to go home. Little miss Veronica must get everything she wants, and there's always a consequence.

Jughead and Betty walked into the room first. Everyone knew it was important, since Juggie had taken off his hat. Betty was crying, wrapping her arms around Juggie.

I motioned for Archie to go in, but he couldn't. He was scared. He didn't want to lose him. He couldn't see him. And if he was dead it would be part of his fault as well. He finally wiped his tears and slowly walked in.

I waited for a solid five minutes, then I had the courage to walk in. Jason's eyes were closed, his heart rate barely there. I couldn't look at him. I didn't kill Jason, I had to keep repeating. He will be ok.

"Hi Jay, I know you're not at your best right now. And I'm terribly sorry. This was all my fault. If I didn't demand to leave at that very moment...we wouldn't be here. You don't have to forgive me. You could hate me for all I know. But I want you to know I'm sorry-" I was cut off.

Jason's eyes opened slowly. He looked at me and smiled. He waved to the others. He removed the tube from his nose, and let out a chuckle.

"If I hadn't *cough* went to that stupid bar *cough* and gotten drunk...we wouldn't have been here." Jason wheezed.

Betty quickly reinserted the tube into his nose. But I couldn't help but think, why did he run the red light? Either way I'm glad he's ok.

"Jay Jay! Jay Jay where are you!" Cheryl's voice echoed.

She rushed into the room and smothered Jason in hugs. He tried to push her off, but didn't have the strength. He was too weak to even sit up. Cheryl whipped around and pointed at Jughead.

"You! You were driving that car. Why did you run the red light? You idiot! That's my brother!" Cheryl demanded answers.

"Actually...Jay Jay here went to get drunk last night. And did this to himself. He ran the light not me. Sorry sweetheart." Jughead said.

Cheryl sighed. She turned to Jason and pulled him up to her face. His eyes opened so wider than Cheryl's overdrawn lips. He gasped for air.

"Get over her! Polly Cooper is going to rot in hell. She's a heartless soul. And she left you! You did nothing to her. Get over it!" Cheryl whispered, loud enough for me to hear.

Archie grabbed Cheryl and placed Jason back on the bed. His heart rate sped up. Nurses rushed in. Taking him away. All we saw before he left was his eyes slowly closing.

"This isn't the last you've seen of me." Cheryl huffed.

We watched as she fixed her hair and strutted out the room. How did she have the nerve to do that. Why has she changed so much?
