EVA'S POV
Darien and I rode side by side as Zane and Aria rode a few feet in front of us. The trails were beautiful, there were so many trees and flowers, amazing rivers that we passed by, and this one body of water where we saw a few turtles and frogs. We rode in silence for a while, with only the faint sound of Zane and Aria's voices as they carried out their own private conversation.
"So, what's the story with them," I broke the silence between Darien and I.
"Story with who?" he asked.
"Zane and Aria, what's their story,"
He half smiled, "Their's is a good one actually, they met when they were kids, they were in the same history class. They met right after my dad died. Zane didn't want to talk to anyone or make friends, she sort of forced herself on him, made him her friend, comforted him. And from there, they just sort of attached to each other. She changed him, he was always so sad, but she introduced him to her sillyness and he used it to become happy again. Since they were kids, they could only relate to each other, all through their childhoods, it was hard for them to make friends, they were different from the others... silly."
"And others were like you, serious?"
"Not sternly but, somewhat serious. I mean, they were the only 13 year olds that were still telling stories and playing pranks, they weren't serious about the fighting classes and all that. Aria made a few girlfriends, but only one or two other guy friends but none of them come close to her friendship with Zane."
"And Zane?"
"He was never really able to keep a friendship with another girl, even if they'd start talking, I guess none of them were like Aria, which was what he was used to. Sillyness, he can be his true silly self with her and feel completely normal. With other girls it wasn't the same. You're the only girl he's been able to stay friends with. Others it's more of a hi and bye type of friendship, they don't hang out or anything,"
"So, when are they gonna tie the knot,"
"What?"
I chuckled, "Come on, it is so obvious they love each other, it's not just a friendship, when are they gonna officiate a relationship."
He smiled, "I told him the same thing the night you got staked," he flinched a little when he mentioned my getting staked. "They have kid souls, they love each other so much they think they have the perfect friendship, really they both just don't know how to make the first move I guess."
"Well then someone should make it for them."
He looked at me.
"What, don't say you haven't thought about helping you're baby bro out, they're in love, and they're sillyness is getting in the way of them getting together, we need to save them. It is our moral duty," I put my hand on my heart.
Darien chuckled and looked forward again.
"We should huh,"
"Definitley, not sure how, but we need to."
"We'll figure out something."
"So what about you,"
"Hmm?"
"Your story, if you don't mind my asking, I mean, you're completely different from Zane, you're the serious type, not at all as silly as him. What made you like that and do you have any friends?" I asked curiously.
He laughed then, "Yes Eva, I have friends. Ironically I have more female friends than male friends."
I raised my eyebrows at him and he chuckled.
