The next morning, I made my way to the training fields in search for Darien who I haven't seen in a few days, but again he was a no show. Instead Aria pranced towards me.

"Hey Eva," Aria walked up to me and gave me a hug.

"Hi," I hugged her back and then pulled away. "Any idea where Darien is?"

"He picked up another shift at the border, what can I say, he's a protector by default." she smiled.

"Yeah," I smiled back.

"Anyways, I have to go, Zane's waiting for me, he said he wanted to talk to me. The little wierdo told me to meet him at the cliff, God only knows why there but I guess I'll find out," she smiled.

"Well, just make sure he doesn't toss you over,"

"If anything he better make sure I don't toss him over," she chuckled as she jogged away from me.

I turned around to see Lucien making his way towards me. I rolled my eyes and turned around and began to walk away.

"Eva wait!" I heard him running towards me from behind. I turned around just in time to find him standing right in front of me. "I was thinking maybe we could train together today."

"I don't think that's a good-"

"Come on Eva, we're just going to train, you know I'm a good warrior."

"You're not a warrior Lucien, you're gonna be on the counsel, that's different."

"You know I don't care for that spot, just let me train with you,"

I hesitated, "Fine."

I guess we had to get over what happened one way or another, and this was another. We began training and doing different techniques. We spent a half hour training in silence until he broke it.

"Do you wanna hang out tonight?"

"Can't"

"Why not,"

"Kairi leave after sunset remember."

"Then right before sunset,"

I hesitated, a little annoyed that he had the nerve to ask me to hang out with him after everything that went down. I thought for a second how to proceed without sounding too rude.

"Lucien, there is no reason for us to hang out anymore, I think it's best if we just steer clear of each other for a while."

"What? Why?"

"You know why. Whatever happened between you and me in the past is just that, the past. It's over. And after that move you pulled, you can forget about ever being alone with me again."

"Eva I'm sorry, okay that was a stupid, disrespectful move and I'm sorry I got out of line, I was angry and surprised I mean, you were talking nonsense and I-"

"Nonsense?"

"Yes."

"Nothing about what I said was nonsense. I like someone here in Theon, it's not nonsense-"

Lucien suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me close.
