[DISCONTINUED] I Will Be Your Eyes {A Jayfeather x Reader}

{Chapter Two}

I stalked through camp once again, carrying a vole in my jaws. I watched as cats gave me generous smiles, to which I didn't fully understand. Suddenly, a black figure came running towards me, smiling.

" y/a/n! There you are! I've been looking for you! What have you been up to lately...? " she questioned. Hollypaw was my best friend. I've known her since birth. We grew up together. I trusted her.

" oh....um....nothing really... " I was trying my best to stay quiet. Speaking and social interaction wasn't really my thing. Hollypaw rolls her eyes.

" Yeah right. You've been at it all day, hunting non-stop. Take a break, will yah? " she asked.

" Hollypaw, stop it...! " I playfully scolded. Hollypaw could be quite sassy if I didn't interfere.

She rolled her eyes and stalked away. I turned towards the Medicine Den, shouting and grumbles could be heard. It was clear that Jaypaw was arguing with Leafpool again. I was always intrigued and annoyed by the tom. He was quite unusual. Of course, I never really talked to him much. I turned away and watched Brambleclaw as he spoke with Squirrelflight. I padded over and nudged him.

" Hunting again...? " I asked quietly. Brambleclaw nodded. I smiled and rushed back into the forest. Hunting was like my escape from the world.

As I was approaching a bush I heard voices, and what sounded like Poppypaw and Lionpaw speaking to each other. My eyes narrowed and I flicked my ears forward to listen in.

" Lionpaw! Why are you being so nice to her...! You don't....like her...do you...? " Her...? Who's her?

" What?! No! I would never! You know it would be disgusting. She's obviously a Dark Forest Cat with crazy powers...! " What? That can't be right! Who could that be? Everyone was so nice!

" Ugh. She doesn't have 'crazy powers' Lionpaw. She is just Power Hungry. She's a bad omen, remember? That's why we're always nice to her. " Poppypaw was talking. I was still trying to figure it out.

" Your right. y/a/n is just a bad omen. That doesn't mean she couldn't take over the clan though! " Lionpaw yelled. My eyes went wide. I was frozen. I needed to know more. At least one more sentence.

" Agh! Lionpaw you mousebrain, don't say her name! She could be around here! She'll unleash her wrath on us...! " Poppypaw hissed. That was it. I burst through the bushes and tears and shot the two apprentices sorrow filled glares.

" I thought we were friends! I guess I was wrong! I guess I was wrong about EVERYONE!" I hissed, leaping away. My eyes were blinded with tears and I couldn't think straight. Then, I felt my feet fall from under me.

Then everything was dark again.
