I turned my head nervously, my ears flat against my head. Tears stained my cheeks, flattening my fur.

"I'm so sorry...I just lashed out...."Jaypaw explained, my eyes wide, at his caution towards me.

I just turned away and wrapped my tail tighter around me and examined the ground my back hunched up.

I heard paw-steps come closer towards me and a quiet huff.

I lifted my head slightly, searching his face for something, not quite sure what for yet.

"It's fine Jaypaw. I just got upset that you seemed to all the sudden hate me." I explained, lashing my tail slightly, my voice still cold and emotionless.

Jaypaw shifted, and I rose to my feet, turning towards the camp.

"Wait where-"

"I'm going back to camp." I groaned, meeting his eyes from over my shoulder, before continuing to walk forward.

I stretched in my nest, my eyes blurred from the morning sun.

"Mornin sleepy. Do you wanna go to your ceremony now?" Hollypaw snickered as I leapt to my feet.

"Wait what time is it!?" I growled my fur bristling in confusion.

"You still have time to clean yourself." She purred, padding into the clearing mockingly.

I huffed in annoyance, carefully dragging my tongue over my paw and swiping it over my ear, before sprinting into the clearing.

I skidded to a stop near Hollypaw and she smiled at me, giving me a quick wink.

"All cat's old enough to catch their own prey, join beneath the high rock for a clan meeting!" Firestar yowled across the camp, his tail twitching eagerly.

I grinned widely as Hollypaw's name was called.

Soon enough Lionpaw's and they were both named, and I was next!

I puffed out my chest and began clawing my way up the high rock as Firestar called my name.

"I Firestar, leader of Thunderclan call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has learned the ways of the warrior code. She has proven herself worthy of her warrior name." Firestar smiled.

"Y/A/N, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and fight for your clan and you ancestors?" He asked, his tone stern.

"Yes. I do." I said proudly, puffing out a large breath of air.

He nodded respectfully and stepped forward, his gaze tracing across the clearing.

"Then by the power of Starclan, I grant you your warrior name. From this day forth, you shall be known as Y/W/N. Starclan honors your Spirit and Honesty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Thunderclan." He rested his nose on my forehead and I nervously licked his shoulder stepping away as Firestar nodded in my direction before turning back to the clan.

"Welcome our newest warriors, Y/W/N, Hollyleaf and Lionblaze!" He roared, the clan calling out our name's as my chest swelled with pride, and I turned to Hollyleaf, her eyes sparkling with joy and happiness.

Soon enough we sat silently, watching the entrance. My eyes narrowed and I was still filled with adrenaline, keeping me awake to guard, sometimes flashing a glance at Lionblaze or Hollyleaf.

Finally, Brambleclaw approached us, nodding towards us glancing at the sky.

"Your vigil is over. Now go get some rest." He smiled, carrying on towards the high rock to greet Sandstorm and Firestar.

I yawned, making my way towards the warriors den, surprised to see that a nest was made for me already. I smiled and nodded my head in thanks to Dustpelt who simply smiled and Frostfur, who graciously nodded her head towards the nest. I plopped down in the nest stretching and falling into a deep sleep, only one thing on my mind that night.

A gray tabby that means more than he knows.
