Chapter Nine - Jelly Isn't My Forté

A new chance?

With Zeref?

Why does that actually sound like a good idea? I swear there has to be something wrong with me. Like why do I have this strange gravitation towards him?

"Lucy." Zeref spoke in his deep voice that cause my eyes to shift their gaze from a park in the distance that I had been staring at.

  It somehow seemed familiar to me. Maybe I played on it when I was a child as most kids did. Who knows.

  "Lucy I will accompany you to where your friend is." Zeref swords made no sense. When did I ask him to go with me to see my friend, and which one was he talking about?

"What?" I spoke just as off guard as his statement was. "What are you talking about?"

Zeref smirked which caused me to become even more confused than I was. What was he up to and why did I have a bad feeling about this?

"Follow and the individual should reveal itself." Those were the last words he spoke as he began to carve the path.

  At first I didn't understand where he was taking me. But with each step we took it slowly began getting familiar. Zeref was taking me to the place where I was willing to risk it all for the person inside.

"After you." Zeref politely spoke.

He wanted me to lead the way because he knew that the staff here would remember me and therefore wouldn't question us. He also probably wanted to take in my reaction for when the two of us me the two of them.

  "Luce." I heard a voice call out. I took a deep breath as I was prepared to see his bright colored hair at any moment now.

  "Nastu." I said as he pulled me into his arms, hugging me close to him. He pulled away and made sure to get a good look of Zeref while doing so.

"Come on Luce, Lisanna wants to see you." Nastu began guiding us down the halls of the hospital.

"How is she?" I asked as I was concerned for her health since she was the most fragile member of fairy tail.

  "She's gotten a lot better thanks to the medicine you gave her." Natsu casually spoke. "I don't know what medicine you gave her Luce, but thank you. Lisanna is completely healed and I feel that she's probably stronger now than before, and for that you have my greatest gratitude."

  What medicine was he talking about? I was never able to obtain the pills that stupid wizard had promised me as Zeref told me they were fake. Did something happen and I just missed it? Or maybe someone else did what I had wanted without my knowledge.

But who?

  We entered the door and I saw Lisanna there with two doctors in the room. Her face instantly lit up when she saw Natsu and then formed a smile when she saw me.

  Was she really that happy to see me? This girl who was once my enemy was now excited to see me?

If what I heard was true and the pills had healed her and granted her immunity to all sicknesses than I'm sure she would be thankful, I know I would be too if I was in her situation.

  "Lucy!" She spoke and both the doctors turned towards me. "Thank you so much for coming to see me."

  "Anytime Lisanna." I causally spoke. "You seem a lot better since last time. I'm glad you're recovering."
