"Lyon." I said as I met his dark brown eyes with my warm brown ones.

Zeref's grip tighten on me but before he could hold me in place I looked into his eyes, letting him know that I was okay.

"I heard you got a boyfriend while I was coming back from my trip. I didn't think you actually had it in you." Lyon said as he looked down at me with a smirk. "I thought you would actually listen to my warning this time."

My eyes shifted over to Zeref.

He was handling this pretty well compared to what I thought. Hopefully, nothing happens and Lyon doesn't dig himself an early grave.

"Lucy." Zeref said. "Who is he?"

I knew the response after what I would reveal would be a good one. And so I slowly took a deep breath before revealing the truth.

"Lyon is a man my father introduced me to a few years ago while he was still alive. He thought Lyon would have been a good match for me if I had actually become the daughter he dreamt of me becoming." I say with a sigh. "I didn't particularly feel anything special for Lyon and refused to be a part of any deal my father wanted to make with him."

I could feel Zeref's breathing change slightly as well as the look in his eyes.

He was upset.

"You would have been mine if it were not for you convincing your father otherwise and leaving your hometown to join Fairy Tail." Lyon spoke as he made the anger in his voice clear in doing so. "I told you that I would come back for you. Just you wait my dear little Lucy, I will have you and you will be mine and only mine."

Lyon launched himself at me, thankfully I was prepared to receive his attack as it wasn't the first time he did something like this. Yet, before I had the chance to kick Lyon, Zeref grabbed his shirt's collar and glared daggers into his soul.

"Touch her. Kiss her. Come anywhere near her. And I will kill you." Zeref's eyes glowed a dark red and his darkness began to peak as it began to outline his body, making Lyon shake with fear.

That idiot finally realized the severity of the situation.

"Damnit!" Lyon yelled out as Zeref picked him up, off the ground. "I swear I won't ever come near her again. Just let me live and I'll stay the fuck away from you guys."

Lyon's words were enough for Zeref as he saw the plea in my eyes to not carry this action out any further. Lyon was soon released, dropping to the ground as Zeref walked away from him. Though I knew Lyon wouldn't be that easy to take care of so I casted a barrier around himself so none of his attacks would get through.

"You might've hurt me once Lyon, but I'm no fool to allow you to do the same thing twice." I said as my presumption about his attack on Zeref was correct. "Please stop this, Lyon."

I did not wait for Lyon to say anything or for Zeref to act before I did so myself. I walked over to Lyon, bending down I closed my eyes and slowly chanted something I once read in the Farix.

"To be one with darkness is to taunt the heavens and everyone below them. But to love the darkness and give your everything to it provides strength to the connection that life and death are one." My voice allowed the words to show the meaning of the ancient world.

After speaking my ringer finger began to glow as a white outline appeared on my skin, it's glow become stronger with every passing breath as it began to grow in size as the marking itself began to stretch until it reached my right collarbone. It had engulfed the entire left side of my body, only as it became more apparent that the only right part of my body it had touched was that of my collarbone. And what was even more strange was that it was also the only location with strange markings, which I'm assuming to be the old language of the old world.
