"Natsu!" I cried out as Nastu and Happy ran ahead of me.
I placed my hands on my legs once they stopped, and tried to catch my breath.
"Common Lucy!" Natsu shouted as he mentioned for me to go with him but I shook my head.
"I can't go anymore. I have plans, remember?" I said to him. I had told Natsu at least twenty times before today, about visiting my father's grave today.
It took him a few minutes to remember what today meant for me. Natsu slightly nodded.
"Do you want me to go with you?" He offered but I raised my hands, shaking them at his offer.
"Thanks Natsu, but I'll be fine." I reassured him as Happy and him exchanged looks.
"Okay Lucy." Natsu nodded. "I guess I'll see you Monday then."
I smiled and waved my hand at them before we each left.
Natsu and Happy had promised Gildarts to spend time together on Sunday, which was tomorrow.
And well, today was the anniversary of my fathers death. It had been eight year since his death, making me twenty-one.
It was hard to believe that it had already been such a long time.
I shook my head at the thought and opened the door to my apartment.
I wonder what I should wear to visit my father? Maybe I'll wear a dress since he always loved putting me in expensive ones I disliked.
I walked up the stairs and down the hall to my room. Walking inside I went towards my closet as I already had what I wanted in mind.
I grabbed the royal blue dress that had a bit of silver lining on it, and placed it on my bed.
Before I could put it on, I needed to take off the clothes I was wearing from earlier a adventure with Natsu.
We had gone exploring some river he found with Happy. They said that it reminded them of me, although I don't know how.
I ended up taking off my bra and putting on a thong since the dress has a material that could easy spot bras and panty lines.
Placing my dirty clothes in the laundry basket, I grabbed my grey boots and slid them on.
Wearing heels would be uncomfortable to a grave sight, they would just be a headache. That's what happen last year.
I laughed at my own self as I remember tripping over my own feet.
My eyes looked at my phone to check the time, but surprisingly it died. Sighing, I went over to my nightstand and plugged it in.
I'll just leave it charging here, since I'm just going to the grave sight anyways.
Leaving my phone charging, I grabbed my umbrella. Juvia told me earlier that it would rain as she knew, just like everyone else, that I would visit my father today.
I left my apartment and within five minutes of walking, the rain began to pour down.
"Aish." I grunted as I quickly opened my umbrella. But even so, my dress was stained with water on the front and back.
As long as the sun didn't set early, I was fine. Because if it did set, then the temperature would be a bit colder.
I shook my head at my thoughts.
"Since when did I become such an over thinker?" I mumbled as I entered the grave sight.
My feet took me through the familiar path that was where my father laid. His spot was distant from all the others.
