I can't say I didn't have a panic attack after Alex and I shared our chat. I walked into the girl's bathroom to let out a squeal I had been keeping in. Then, I proceeded to prance around the tiled room, hitting my knee on the counter. I cursed and checked my hair and dress in the mirror before making my way back into the restaurant.
Now, I see my best friends talking to the band, joined by Alex. My heart beat races as I know I must talk to him again. I pull up my dress again for the 40th time tonight.
"Hey guys," I casually say when I join the circle of people. April gives me an odd look that I ignore. I'm fine now.
The boys in the band give me a quick nod or smile. Alex seems to be a bit confused.
"Good, you're back!" Lucy exclaims. "Hunter, here, was explaining the history of drumsticks and I could not take it anymore."
Hunter fakes a gasp. "I'm hurt, Lucy."
I sneak a glance at Alex, who seems amused by Hunter's antics.
"It'll be okay, Hunt," Zeke slaps him on the back. "She loved me first anyways."
"I'm sorry to both of you, but little Lucy here is taken." Katie says, faking sympathy towards the two boys.
Hunter frowns and Zeke throws himself into Alex's arms. I giggle, seeing Alex half-heartedly hug Zeke. Luce shrugs.
"Now that half the band is heartbroken," April says and Zeke snuggles himself closer to Alex. Alex rolls his eyes. I realize I'm staring at him when I he looks at me. He gives me a defeated smile. I look down quickly. Damn, I am really attracted to him. "I think we should get going." April finishes.
"Yeah, it's pretty late," Katie says, checking her phone. "I have a really important exam tomorrow that I would like to ace."
"Ugh, exams." Alex scowls and then rips Zeke's arms off of him.
"Don't remind me, Kate," I groan. I really do not want to do my English one tomorrow.
"Oh, you guys are pussies." Hunter says and I stifle a laugh. Isn't that a little blunt? "Exam week is nothing."
"Psh," Eric says loudly. "You were practically having a panic attack on Sunday; you sounded like you were gonna shit your pants over exams." We all laugh. I guess Hunter puts on the rocker/bad boy look.
I notice Lucy take her phone out of her jacket. She smiles and speaks up, "Hey, my dad said if I don't come home in the next half hour he will puto asesinarme." The boys all stare at her. I giggle because they aren't used to Lucy slipping in and out of Spanish.
"Pu...what?!" Zeke says, dumbfounded.
I know what puto means. I've been to Luce's house way to many times to not know what it meant.
April and Kate look thoroughly amused by the guys in front of us.
"He says he will fucking murder me." Lucy says, like they should've known already.
"Ah." The boys say in unison. They no longer look as confused as they did before.
"Well, don't do all Español on us." Zeke says. "It's hot, but I can't understand a word you say." He winks at Lucy but she scrunches up her nose. She has Petey.
"Anyways, we should really be getting home before my dad gets super pissed." I nod. I've seen her dad mad and it is not pretty.
"It was nice meeting you," I say with a smile, mostly to Alex. The other guys in the band are great but nothing close to him. The boys all smile towards me. "You all were pretty sick up there."
They all say a thanks and Alex does his weird bow thing again, making me blush in remembrance of his hands on my shoulders, eyes level with mine. I shudder. He was so close to me.
"Maybe we'll come to another show," April suggests and gives a wave. I follow her out.
"Wait!" One of the guys says.
Please be Alex. Please.
I turn back around to find Zeke holding Lucy's wrist. "Lemme get your number. I could text you when our next show is."
I know it's an excuse, but it's cute. It seems Lucy might not only have Petey's heart.
"I don't kno-" Lucy starts but is interrupted by Zeke.
"I know you're taken or whatever. But, I just..you are- I like-" He stutters.
"Just give him your damn number!" Alex calls from back where we were all standing. I smile at him. He gives me a wink. My knees go wobbly and I try to contain them.
"Fine," Lucy says, taking her phone out. Eric does a fist pump and pulls out his phone from his back pocket. They exchange phones. Even though Lucy keeps sighing like she'd rather be dead than give her number to him, Zeke looks ecstatic.
Once the ordeal is done, they hand back each other's phones. Zeke smirks like he won 1st place in the biggest competition of his life. Lucy keeps rolling her eyes.
"I'll call you," Zeke winks.
Lucy sighs. "I won't answer."
I mentally punch her for being rude to cute Zeke.
He frowns for a moment but a smile replaces it quickly. "What school do you go to?"
Lucy starts to protest but Kate goes, "Meadow Hills High!" Lucy glares at her.
"I'll visit you," Zeke wiggles his eyebrows before saluting and walking away.
Lucy huffs and walks out of the restaurant.
Damn, what's her problem?

A/N: I guess Zekey Boo Bear has a little crush...<3
So, usually with my stories I like to be a chapter or two ahead writing wise. PDLM has been written like 3 chapters ahead, while I'm struggling with The Comet Cafe. It's a very cliche story, but I don't want to make it so cliche that it's sickening. I just have minors writers block with this story and some of its future events. Bare with me if my chapters suck balls. :P
