(Decided to be nice and updated early!)
But, she's there. Freakin' Groupie Girl is "helping" set up for the concert. I can tell she's there for Alex, like I am. I'll admit it when she probably would say, "oh, no, I love the band and want to help them." Bullshit. Even across the bar, while she's touching his bicep-
Why the hell is she touching his bicep?! His toned, tanned, wonderful bicep? That should be me! He does look uncomfortable. Oh goodie! He's walking away.
I smile like an idiot when she frowns. Oh, yuck, what shade of red lipstick is that? Neon?!
"Julia, what're you looking at?" Kate asks innocently. It turn quickly and plaster a fake 'I'm super fine guys' smile.
"Just the set up. It's smaller than last one's." Ugh, even I didn't believe my lie. Why would I admire the stage?
"Sure..."April says with a smug smile on her face. "I think you were looking at Amazing Alex over there."
I feel my cheeks blush. My friends know me too well. "Okay, you caught me." I say.
They all laugh, while Luce still looks lost. I hope and pray she'll talk to poor Zeke. Lucy can go a bit too far with her tough exterior. She doesn't know when to tone it down.
"I-I think I'm gonna go talk to Zeke," Lucy says and we all nod in understanding. Even if she doesn't want to own up to it, she kinda has to. "I'll be back."
She walks towards the stage and talks to Eric, who is still setting up the microphone. Alex seems to have gone in the back and Groupie Girl is nowhere to be found. I hope we'll talk to the band again tonight. I'm pretty sure they don't have much of a crowd here, so it'll be easier to talk to them after the show.
I watch Lucy go backstage and come out about 5 minutes later. She has a smile on her face and I know she apologized and all went well.
She comes back to the table and starts talking super fast. "Okay, he was really bummed right? So I apologized and said this whole long paragraph of how I'm scared and shit and told him about Peter and how that's super freakin' complicated. He totally understood and said he wasn't hurt that much but he said he was grateful for my apology. We hugged and I swear he feels like a teddy bear and was just so fucking sweet." She breathes for a moment and looks like she's about to say something else but she's interrupted by April and me squealing our heads off.
Katie yells at us to stop because we're turning heads so we calm down a little. I'm still so happy Zeke accepted her apology and maybe he isn't such a dick in her eyes anymore. If she doesn't want a romantic relationship with Peter, Zeke is always waiting.
"That's so great, Luce," April says, genuinely happy for her friend. If only she was having luck in the love department. Logan still hasn't called her all week. Sometimes you can see she's a bit bummed, but usually she is her normal, bubbly self. I'm getting kind of worried. April loved- no, still loves Logan and this "break" isn't doing her any good. Logan better step up and explain what this is all about.
"Thanks, April." Lucy smiles. "He was actually really cool about it and I think we could be friends. Even if he was such an ass before."
I giggle at how set Lucy is with thinking Zeke is a douche. She barely knows him yet. We've all only known the band for less than a week. Then, I get an idea. "We should hang out with all of them. Get to know everyone from the band, you know?"
Lucy nods and Kate smiles at my idea. April says, "OMG! Yes! That is such a great idea. We'll talk to them after the show about it."
I nod and then I see all four of The Way come out on stage. But, I can seem to take my eyes off a certain guy in a black muscle tee and a guitar resting on his stomach.
