OKAY YOU MIGHT HATE ME BUTTTTTT I HAD SCHOOL AND THEN I WAS SO CLOSE TO FINSHING AND I LOST IT ALL BC IDK. SO THIS MIGHT BE CRAPPY BUT ENJOYYY☻
"Luce!" Zeke yells. I laugh because I know he knew we were here. He runs up to Lucy and pulls her into a tight hug. They're so cute.
"Jules?" I hear a very familiar voice ask. I turn around to find Alex. He hasn't changed at all. He still has the same shaggy black hair, the same tall, muscular body, and the same smile that makes my heart stop. These factors combined make me want to cry. "What are you doing here?"
"Came to surprise you." My voice comes out of a squeak because my heart is aching to hug this boy I've missed so much for two months.
He drops his bags and comes to hold me. I bury my face in his chest, remembering why I'm in love with this guy so much.
"I missed you." He says into my hair. His arms are tight around me and I never want to leave. I never want him to leave. "A fuck load."
I laugh, moving my face to look up into his. "'A fuck load?'"
"Yes, Jules, don't judge my word choice." He chuckles. "Just hug me."
He doesn't have to tell me twice. I'll hug him forever if he really wants me to. We hug for a little while after until Hunter yells at us to get our hands off of each other. My cheeks turn red, but I don't even care. Because Alex is back and I never want to let him go.
Zeke says hi to his parents, too, but he quickly shoos them out so he can talk to us. They tell us about how New York was so beautiful. From the studio window. They worked on the album almost the entire time, not even going to Central Park or the Statue of Liberty. Hunter was pretty pissed. I'd be, too. The only big city I've been to is Chicago.
The guys all talk to us about how it was so tiring yet exciting recording their album. They even said it'll be out December 20th. I have to remember to put that on my calendar.
At one moment, Alex leaned down to whisper, "I really missed you."
I smiled at him, trying not to freak out about his hand on my thigh. "You said that already."
He laughed quietly. "I don't think I'll ever stop."
"Well, I missed you, too." I said. He beamed, messing up my hair. I scrunched up my nose and he laughed again.
He squeezed my leg, almost making me squeal. "I have something to ask you later, okay?"
I nodded, finally turning my attention back to the conversation.
"-with all our families." Hunter was finishing up his sentence.
"Wait, what are we doing with our families?" I asked, confused on what everyone was talking about. Alex distracts me, okay?
"A Thanksgiving dinner!" Katie said cheerfully.
"Wait. With everyone's families?"Alex asked. So, we both get distracted by each other.
"Yeah, were you guys listening at all?" Hunter questioned, chuckling a little.
"I can't catch up with my bestest friend?" Alex put his arm around me and my cheeks heated up.
He still referred to me as a friend. I know I'm not supposed to know his feelings and he doesn't know mine, but "friend" kinda hurt. It seems so inadequate for the shit that we've been through. I guess it's all my fault in the end. I don't have the confidence to tell him my feelings or what I know.
I wish that I could.
"Where would we even have the party? Some of us have big families." Lucy said.
