On the Road Again

Parker Pov

     As we pulled into the lot I looked around. Everything was put up. Except for Brian's things and mine. I got out and looked at him.

     "I guess we should go get that stuff," I said with a smile. He nodded. We both walked off. It seemed like everyone was asleep in their cars. I checked the watch on my arm. 5:45 am. Of course... I finished packing up my things and put them in the back of Tyler's truck. I walked around and looked for my bike. "Where in FUCK is it?!?" I said walking around. Tyler must have heard me.

     "Oh while you were packing up Kassie helped me load it into the trailer. I nodded. I took my hoodie off revealing the tank shirt I had put on earlier. Tyler had turned his head. I chuckled. I sat down on the ground and got my phone out. I decided to text Sherlock as I knew he would be awake.

P: "thanks for paying last night. And the cotton candy. I'll pay you back,"

"Don't worry about it. Feel better- SHW"

     I smiled at my phone. I was so happy for those two. After everything with M and Mary they deserve to rest for a while. I heard a car door open and I put my phone down.

    "Morning Blue," a groggy voice says. I look over and see Toonz stretching. He freezes then runs up to me. "BLUE IS BACK!!!" He said picking me up and holding me up. I laughed a lot.

     "Toonz calm down!" I said with a laugh. He chuckled and sat me down.

    "Sorry bout that. Your arm looks so cool!" He said excitedly. The others walked up to us. I smiled and hugged everyone.

     "When Kassie told us you were in the hospital we all freaked out," Marcel said.

     "I was so worried!" Luí said in his squeaker voice. I giggled.

    "It probably would have been worse if that didn't happen. Turns out one of the small wires tore off about a week ago and caused an infection," I explained.

     "Well we are all glad you are okay. But since you all got your things together we need to get going," Evan said. I nodded. Everyone went to their cars and I hopped in the truck with Tyler. I looked at Cas who was on my arm and smiled. I grabbed my headphones and started playing some music on my phone. I saw Tyler motion to me. I took them off.

     "You want to plug it up to the AUX chord?" He asked. I rubbed the back of my neck.

     "I don't think we have the same taste in music...but okay why not," I said grabbing the chord. I sighed and pressed play. The song playing was..."Helpless" from Hamilton. All of a sudden,

"I LOVE THIS SONG!" Tyler shouts then clamps a hand over his mouth. I giggled.

"You listen to Hamilton?" I said looking at him. He nodded.

"Yeah. I like the history aspect," he said. I nodded. We stayed silent for the rest of the song. Then "Guns and Ships" started playing.

"This is my song!" I said smiling.

"You can do the rap to this?!" He said shocked. I nodded and took a breath.

"We rendezvous with Rochambeau, consolidate their gifts," Tyler picked up.

P: "We can end this war at Yorktown. Cut them off at sea, but for this to succeed there is someone else we need,"

T: "I know,"

Both: "Hamilton!"

P: "Sir, he knows what to do in a trench
Ingenuitive and fluent in French,"

B: "Hamilton!"

P: "Sir, you're gonna have to use him eventually
What's he gonna do on the bench? I mean-"

B: "Hamilton!"

P: "No one has more resilience
Or matches my practical tactical brilliance—"

B: "Hamilton!"

P: "You want to fight for your land back!?"

T: "I need my right hand man back"

P: "Ah! Uh, get ya right hand man back

I mean you gotta put some thought into the letter but the sooner the better

I listened in awe as he sang the last part. I guess I must have been starring cause he blushed. I looked out the window and blushed. I paused the music.

"Thanks again for helping me with my stuff. Then coming to the hospital...and driving me now. It's really sweet of you," I said. I felt my cheeks flush. I looked over at him. His were the same.

"It's no problem. Sorry for accidentally peeping on you," he said looking at the road. I felt myself blush a lot.

"I-its okay I guess. You didn't mean to," I replied. "Gods that shoulder sure is sore," I said grabbing my pack out of the floor board. I took out my pain pills and took one. I grabbed the bottle of water I got at the hospital and drank it with it. I stared out the window for awhile.

P: "all we see is sky for forever. Let the world pass by for forever. Wish that I could stay here forever this way..."

I stopped when I realized Tyler was silent. I blushed. And looked at the road.

"You have a really good singing voice. What song was that?" He said. I blushed even more.

"For Forever from Dear Evan Hansen," I replied. He nodded. I leaned back and felt the pain killers kicking in. I yawned and felt myself dose off.

//Tyler's Pov//

We were at a stoplight and I looked over at her. She was asleep facing me. I blushed even more. She looked...adorable. If I didn't know how much of a badass she was I would say was pretty fragile. At least that's how she looked. I heard a car horn honk and I noticed the light was green. I drove on for a couple of minutes then hit another. I leaned back in the backseat and grabbed the cover I kept for when I slept. I put it over her and drove on. I looked out of the corner of my eye and saw her smile.
