A Leg Up

Parker's Pov.

     I woke up when I heard rushing in the room. I sat up seeing Angela. I smiled.

     "Angela thank the gods you are the one working on him," I said looking at her. She jumped and looked at me.

     "Parker! Thank goodness you are here. Genji couldn't be here to help me so I need you to," she said. I looked shocked then nodded. I knew how the tech worked. After all I helped out a little with Genji's repairs. I felt Tyler's arms hug my waist. I smiled and blushed. Then I looked at where his leg would be and felt myself tear up. Angela put her hand on my shoulder. "He is going to be okay. You know that for a fact. After all your arm is in great shape," she said smiling. I nodded and wiped my eye.

     "Can I see it?" I asked. She nodded and opened a briefcase. I looked at it.

     "I didn't give it as many features as yours because I had to rush," she said smiling. It was fully metal like mine. I looked at the wire connections. They were perfect. Tyler stirred a bit and looked at me.

     "Park? Whas goin on?" He said yawning. I smiled.

     "Dr.- Angela is here. She is my doctor remember," I said. He looked at her and nodded.

     "Oh this is one of the boys who came to see you when you were in the hospital," she said. I smiled and nodded. "Hello Tyler. I am Dr. Ziegler and I am going to be attaching your new leg today." He nodded calmly.

     "I'm a little nervous about it," he said. I kissed his cheek.

     "I'm gonna be with you the whole time okay. I'm certified to be her nurse," I said smiling. He calmed down a lot.

     "We are going to prep you for surgery now and when you wake up you'll have a new leg!" Angela said. He smiled and I got up kissing him quickly. She started putting in the IV and some anesthetics. I woke up the others.

    "Is he awake?" Brian asked. I nodded.

    "Not for long. We are prepping him for surgery right now," I said. They looked confused.

    "We?" Jon said. I nodded and motioned at Angela. She waved and went back to work. I looked back at Tyler. He had a bit of a smile on his face.

    "Park~ you are the prettiest girl ever," he said. I giggled and blushed. His anesthetics must have kicked in. Jon laughed a bit. Brian chuckled. "Your boyfriend must be really lucky!" Tyler said. I blushed and smiled.

     "I guess," I said with a smile, "do you think you are lucky?" He looked shocked for a second.

      "I'm your boyfriend?! Yes!" He said smiling. I smiled and kissed his forehead. Mari smiled at us.

     "Parker can I record this?" Mari said. I giggled and nodded. Tyler kept saying goofy things and being cute until he fell asleep.

"Well we have to take him to surgery now," Angela said. I nodded and waved to my friends. I washed up quickly then put on some spare scrubs. Then we started the surgery.

- 3 hours later -

We walked back in the room wheeling Tyler's bed in. Brian was the only one awake. I looked at him and smiled.

"How did it go?" He asked quietly. I pulled up the cover revealing his new leg.

"Everything went smoothly. The initial attachment went better than I thought it would," I explained as he nodded.

"Well I'm glad he is going to be okay. He is one of my best friends after all. And so are you," he said. I smiled and hugged him.

"Thank you for everything these past two days," I said smiling. He hugged me back and nodded.

"It's the least I could do," he said. I smiled and sat down in the chair next to Tyler's bed. I held Tyler's hand and laid my head on the bed. I found myself slowly dosing off.

-2 hours later-

I woke up when someone started playing with my hair. It felt nice so I relaxed and let them do it. I opened my eyes and looked around. Everyone was still asleep. Wait. If everyone is asleep then who is... I looked up and saw Tyler smiling. I smiled and hugged him.

"How are you feeling?" I whispered. He smiled.

"Good. And I can feel my leg again!" He said excitedly. I giggled and looked at him.

"Angela is going to give you the pain killers she gave me because when you stand on it for the first few days it is going to hurt," I said. He nodded and smiled. I looked at the clock. "It's 3 am," I said yawning bit. He smiled and moved over. I got in the bed next to him and smiled as he wrapped around me. I dosed off again.

-hours later-

I woke up to people talking quietly. I looked up and saw Brian and Kassie smiling at Tyler and I. I blushed and looked at Tyler. He was still asleep. His face was peaceful. Angela walked in and smiled.

"Well as soon as you fill out this paperwork you can leave," she said smiling. I nodded and took the papers.

"Thank you so much Angela," I said smiling. She nodded and walked out of the room. I woke Tyler up and we filled out the papers. When we finished we walked out to the parking lot. "Well looks like we are riding to the hotel on my motorcycle," I said chuckling. Tyler laughed and smiled. We drove back to the hotel room and I called Craig asking him to bring Cas to the show tonight. He agreed and I hung up. After all that grief I was happy again.
