Skam - Evak

Intro 2: New White Tee

As the door opened, a slight summer breeze crept in. It was almost torture as I knew that we weren't allowed to keep it open. My shift was over in an hour and I just wanted the day to be over with.

"Halllooo Isak"

I looked over and smiled at her.

It was so hot outside and I always
wondered why she never looked
sweaty or tired like I did. She was perfectly sun-kissed and light freckles were scattered across her nose and cheeks.

"Hei, Eva"

My voice cracked and I felt like melting away, forever.

She hopped onto the counter and swung her legs over, turning towards me. Her hair was tied up into a long ponytail with a few strands poking out here and there. I found it cute. Out of everyone, Eva was the most careless. I kinda admired her for that.

"How's your day so far?"

"Ordinary, but my shift is over in about an hour."

She kicked the back of my leg so I would turn around and look at her.

"Wanna see a movie tonight? There's a new marvel one out and it looks super coooool Isak."

"Umm I-"

She finishes my sentence. When Eva wants to do something with you, you basically have to do it. I can tell that she's been spending too much time around Vilde lately.

I give her a confused look. "Fine, but who else is going to come with us?"

"Jonas, Mahdi, Magnus and Noora."

"Ok, sounds awesome."

I reach into the tip bowl and grab my tips for the day. It wasn't enough for a ticket but finding spare wouldn't be too hard.

"Chill, I got it covered Isak"

"No, Eva I've got it, but thanks"

"Already paid for your ticket, too bad"

Oh my gosh, she really is turning into Vilde. It's kind of out of the blue for Eva, but hey, I'm not complaining.

"Since I paid, you should give me an ice cream cone. Make it Strawberry, please. And also, double scoop if you're feeling extra generous today"

She laughs and I roll my eyes.

"Here you are, Ma'am"

"Thank you, kind Sir"

She gives me her cheesy-fake smile and I can't help but laugh. She almost trips out on the way out and we both start laughing even harder.

"Isak, stop asking your friends to come over and distract you. You have a job to do, and it's not giving your friends free ice cream."

Sonja gives me her "I'm annoyed and practically done with you, but I'm too exhausted to yell at you" type of face.

"I was done with everything I needed to do and gave her the leftover ice cream, I don't find that wrong"
I respond back.

"You know that I can say one word to Tom and he'll fire you, right?" She snaps to me.

"You know that I can tell Tom that you've been making out with his son in the storage room for the past two months, right?"

She shuts up real fast.
I take my apron off and hang it up in the back. It was so hot in there that it felt like I'd pass out.

As I hop across the countertop, she's still in the same spot, arms crossed.
She gives me a bitter look, but she looks absolutely ridiculous when she tries to act superior to the rest of us.
