Even

It was now day five without contact from Isak.

He had returned back to school the day after I went over to his place. He was avoiding me ever since.

What bugged me was him ignoring Eva. On the bus, in text messages and even when they were standing right next to each other. At this point, Eva had been talking to me and hanging out with me more than Isak. I could never figure out what was going through that boy's head.

It took Isak probably another two days before he seemed back to normal. It all happened so quick and I had yet to see somebody give him a hard time. Surprisingly, I hadn't gotten anything more than a few dirty stares here and there.

I didn't understand how, until Eva showed me his Facebook post that included a video.

My girlfriend may be great at photoshop, but she's not great with pranks. Let the wars begin...

Videod was Eva sleeping on a couch and supposedly Isak shoving a whipped cream pie in her face. Eva jumped up and started shouting and threw her pillow at the the camera, knocking it to the floor.

"That's not even Isak, that's Jonas behind the camera." Eva looked up at me in disbelief.

"He muted the audio." She scoffs even louder.

"If Jonas finds this post, who knows what he will do."

I put an arm around her shoulder and pull her into a little side hug.

"Don't worry about this, I'm going to talk to him as soon as I can."

She nods her head in appreciation and leads me over to a nearby wooden bench. She started talking about her home life, her friends and even a little bit about her and Jonas's off and on again relationship.

After a slight break in the conversation, she brings up Isak. I hoped that she wouldn't try to talk about the photo of us. I knew that topic was inevitable, but I tried my best to put it off.

"I knew that you liked him that first time I saw you in the ice cream shop."
She abruptly blurts out.

I let out an embarrassed little laugh. I guess she was the first one to figure it out.

I scratch the back of my neck before pausing. "How so?" I ask.

"Are you kidding me, you stared him down like a full course meal!" She practically blared it out loud and I had to cover her mouth. We laughed for a solid minute until we could finally catch our breath.

"You know that night of the party?"

She nods her head and looks back at me.

I take a long breath before opening my mouth again. "Isak sorta admitted all of his feelings towards me."

Eva raises her eyebrows, waiting for me to continue on. "He was so drunk and he came into the kitchen and just told me about how he can't stop thinking about me...

He was so drunk, Eva. And now I know how he feels and I feel like I'm taking advantage of that. I wanted to talk about all of this when we were sober, but he just blurted everything out. I didn't realize how drunk he actually was until he kept on rambling on and tried to kiss me."
