Isak
Everything went black.
There we were, Eva, Even and I standing in the darkness. "What just happened?" Eva slightly panics. We could hear all sorts of commotion and loud voices upstairs.
"Cops! Everyone get out, they're searching the place!" A loud voice states.
"What's going on?" I say towards what I assume is Even, not being able to see anything in the dark.
"I have no idea, but we should probably get out of here." He says in utter confusion.
Before I can say anything back, he loosely grabs mine and Eva's arms. We quickly drag ourselves up the stairs and Even starts pulling us out through a back door. We finally are able to see each other and Even motions for us to follow him. After flinging ourselves down a few flights of stairs, we make it onto the ground.
"The power went out and I have no idea what's going on." Even pants. Eva looks down at her phone and back up at me.
"Isak, it's two-thirty in the morning and my parents are going to kill me." Eva looks directly at me, her eyes widening.
"No, how is it that late? We just got there like an hour ago?" I question.
"It had to have been the drinks, someone must've put something in them." Even looks around at both of us and his eyes start to widen in concern.
"My parents are going to be so pissed If I come back home this late and drunk."
Eva starts breathing heavily and buries her head in her palms.
"Come stay at my place." Even blurts out. "It's just a one-bedroom apartment, but I can crash on the couch."
Eva sighs in relief and before you know it, we're headed in Even's direction. It only took around five minutes until we reached the complex. He opened the door for us to walk in and his apartment was nearly spotless.
I knew that I should have taken Eva back to my shared apartment, but I didn't. I wanted to be at Even's and it felt weird to admit that to myself. Nearly a couple of hours ago I was hating his guts and tackling him to the ground. Those few seconds I was hovering over him, I could see a mix of guilt and fear in his eyes.
I couldn't believe how fast my feelings had changed towards him. I actually felt happy to be with him. And now I was staying over at his apartment.
Noticing myself thinking about this, I immediately try to shake the thoughts out of my head."Isak?" Even quietly says to me."Uh,what?" I jolt up out of surprise. He gives a little smile before repeating himself again.
"I set you up a little spot next to my bed where Eva is going to sleep."
"Oh okay, thanks" I respond nervously. I take off my shoes and lay my jacket on top the coat rack. I follow him into his room where Eva is already snuggled underneath his sheets.
Even turns around and shoves a set of clothes in my hand. "You don't look that comfy right now." I nod back to him before walking towards the bathroom.
"Hey Isak..." He pauses. "If you need anything at all, literally anything, please wake me up. Okay?" He tilts his head down to look at me and I instantly turn my head downwards to avoid his eyes.
"Yea-yeah alright, thanks Even." I swallow hard. He knew that I was extremely nervous and It felt as if the embarrassment was swallowing me alive. He gave out a small laugh and patted me on the shoulder before leaving the room. "Goodnight Isak."
