Today would be my second day at Hartvig Nissen and the thought of walking through those doors again made me even more nervous.

I step from the bus and start walking towards the front of the school. As I was walking, I heard a group of rowdy boys behind me. They catch my attention and I turn towards them. The boys were so caught up into their conversation that none of them seemed to notice I was right there.

I stop and check the time. I had a few minutes left to kill, so I started playing "soccer" with a little pebble, following wherever it went.

I got bored and picked up the little rock and hucked it as far as I could into the grass.

"You play baseball?" some guy with dark, curly hair and thick eyebrows asked.

"Oh, Nah" I give a slight laugh back to
him.

"You know, our community baseball team could really use a better pitcher." he says.

"I'll have to check it out sometime soon" I respond.

"Let me know if you're interested dude. Anyways, I'll see you around.. Oh! and my name is Jonas by the way."

Before I could even reply, he looks past me and runs towards his group of friends that had bypassed us. I glanced over to the group and immediately noticed the boy with blonde, wavy hair.

He threw his head back laughing at something Jonas said. This was probably the first time I actually got a full view of what he looks like. His blonde, wavy hair was hidden under his maroon snapback and a few curls peeked out in the front. I watched his lips curl upwards when he'd smirk in their conversation, revealing slight little dimples.

I still remember a couple of weeks ago when he walked in on Sonja and I in the storage room. I had no idea it was that kid from the bar until I was walking out and looked at him. He had gotten a haircut and his hair had a golden hue in the light. I could not believe that it was the same kid from the bar. It was something about actually being able to look him in the eyes that caught me off guard.

The day I saw him at the parlor, I watched him from the other side of the room. He climbed over the countertop and pretty much trampled some girl into a big hug. She had long brown hair and was wearing a yellow tank and black shorts. She was probably the prettiest girl that I had seen in a while.

He was joking and flirting around with her while rocking her back and forth in the hug. I still can't believe how stupid I must've looked when I walked past them and realized who he was. I was practically staring at him.

I still had no idea what he had been doing at a gay bar in the middle of the night.

I wasn't sure if him being here made things better or worse. I couldn't even remember his name.

After the last class of the day finished, I grabbed my black backpack and rushed down to the bus stop, just in time to get on. As I'm stepping up to get on, I hear a familiar voice from behind me. I could instantly tell it was the blonde boy and I tried to ignore the voices of him and the other girl.

I walk down the isles and decide to sit in a seat towards the middle of the bus. I put my head down just in case he walks past me. In the corner of my eye I see him stroll past me. He lightly placed his hands on his girlfriend's waist and guided her further. I turn my head over slightly to see which seat they pick.
