Midnight wanted Bill to be free and she knew that he wanted to be free! But he refuses to say sorry to the Pines. She knows that Bill is probably scared that the family will try to kill him if he goes to apologize. Midnight decided that she'll have to force him to go, so she walked over to Bill and clamped her jaws on the back of his shirt and flew out of the cave towards the Mystery Shack.

"What the- Hey! What are you doing!?" Bill was yelling at her to put him down and didn't take notice of where they were headed. After a couple of minutes Bill gave up, knowing that if she wanted to do something, she'll do it. So he just hung there from her mouth with his arms crossed. Then he felt Midnight beginning to descend. Curious as to where she was going to land, he looked down and saw the old shack with two teenagers with large bags going into the rundown place. Realizing what this place was and who the teens were, he began yelling at the dragon again,

"Midnight! I swear! Put me down right now!" The dragon chuckled, and Bill didn't know why. Midnight smiled down at Bill and said through her teeth,

"If you thay tho..." Then dropped Bill onto a tree. He continued to fall on and off the branches of the tree until he hit the ground with a thud. Midnight landed next to him with a smug look on her face. Bill just growled at her as he stood up and brushed himself off.

"You said you wanted me to let go 'right now'," Midnight laughed. Bill glared at her as she continued to laugh.

The teenagers that were walking into the shack had heard Bill's yelling from before. When they looked up, they saw the dragon drop the familiar man into the trees. They looked at each other with nervous looks, then ran inside. They came back out with their great uncles only to hear laughing. They looked over to see the yellow man 'attacking' a large black dragon who was laughing. The man appeared to be playing with the dragon how you would play with a dog. The teens had feared this man was the insane triangle guy who tried to take over the world, but seeing him act like this gave them second thoughts. Maybe he wasn't the same guy? The female teen shouted to them,

"Hello!" The man and dragon stopped what they were doing and looked over. The man tried to run away but the dragon pounced on him.

Midnight looked down at Bill with a stern look,

"You have to apologize for what you did Bill, or else you'll be stuck with me forever." Bill sighed,

"Fine." She got off of Bill and let him get up. He started to slowly shuffle over to the Pines family with his arms crossed and Midnight gently nudging him forward every now and then. The family stayed silent and were confused, except for one of the old men, Stanford. He pulled out his gun and pointed it at the demon,

"What do you think you're doing here, demon?" He growled.

"Whoa! Ok, put that away please. I brought him here," Midnight said jumping in front of Bill,

"He's here to apologize for everything he did. Right Bill?" She turned to look at dream demon, who looked very much annoyed, but nodded,

"Yeah." Stanford hesitantly unarmed his gun and put it away. Midnight moved back to let them see Bill as he stepped forward. The teens, Dipper and Mable, who were standing behind their gruncles, moved out from behind them a little bit. Stanley stood strong with his brass knuckles, ready to punch someone if he needed to. Stanford walked up closer to Bill and crossed his arms, waiting to hear what Bill has to say. Bill then spoke,

"I am deeply sorry for all the trouble I have caused."

"And?" Stanford pushed.

"And for all of the tricks I've pulled."

"And?"

"And for tormenting you and your family. I ain't going any further than that." Bill turned and walked a few steps away. Stanford turned to look at the dragon and asked,

"Is he lying?" Midnight looked at him and gave her response,

"No, but he really didn't want to apologize though, I had to force him."

"Why, after five years, do you decide he should say he's sorry now?"

"Well over the years, he's become more like what he used to be, they guy before you met Bill. So I figured that the final step for him to be free and fully recover is to make peace with his enemies."

"What he used to be... What do you mean?"

"You see, Bill and I actually go way back. He was actually a very caring guy back then before he went crazy."

"What happened?"

"I honestly don't know, he doesn't like to talk about it. I wouldn't press him about it though, it seems to really upset him."

As the two of them talked, with Stanley joining in to hear their conversation, Dipper and Mable cautiously walked over to the demon. Bill noticed them right away,

"What do you want?" He asked grumpily. The twins looked at each other, sort of regretting walking over without a real idea of what they would say. Then Mable spoke up,

"We wanted to know if you really meant it."

"I did... Sort of." Bill huffed.

Then Dipper jumped in,

"What do you mean 'sort of'?"

"I mean that I don't necessarily regret what I did, that was pretty damn fun, but when I look back at it, I know I caused more damage to you humans that I intended," Bill explained. Mable pulled Dipper back by the arm and whispered to him,

"I think we can trust him." Dipper was shocked and whispered back,

"Mable, this is Bill we're talking about, we can't trust him!"

"Come on bro bro! This may be Bill but he said he was sorry and he seems different, like not all psychopathic-y"
Dipper looked back at Bill, who was just staring at the forest, then sighed,

"I guess you're right Mable, but what are you getting at? I know there's all ways more with you." Mable giggled, "You know me too well, but yeah there is more. I think he should stay with us!"

"You know, that's just what I was thinking!" Midnight blurted out.
