4: First Day
"Yeri, get your ass out of bed before I jump on you."
Yeri, who was quite upset with whoever had decided to interrupt her from her deep slumber, grabbed a pillow from underneath her and threw it at the source of the voice.
This, she soon decided, was a terrible idea.
Upon hearing a muffled "ow!" sounding from the other side of her bed, Yeri soon felt a considerably heavy weight pounce on her, sending her rolling off of the comfortable bed and onto the (luckily) carpeted floor.
"What the hell?" Yeri said, her eyes shut and voice strained. "I'm trying to sleep."
"There's no time to sleep now, Yeri." The voice, whom Yeri now identified as Chaeyoung, said excitedly. "We have to go meet the rest of the Ravenclaws. Aren't you excited?"
"Excited my ass." Yeri grumbled, rising from the floor and walking over to her suitcase beside the bed. She didn't bother asking how it got there, for she hadn't carried it into the room the night before, but was too tired to care at the moment.
"Kim Yerim." Chaeyoung said with fake sternness in her voice. "Get your 'excited ass' downstairs in ten minutes, unless you want to get hexed by me after our first lesson."
"Yeah, yeah." Yeri said, changing into her robes. Chaeyoung nodded in approval before heading downstairs.
As soon as Yeri finished fixing herself up, she traced Chaeyoung's footsteps, leading her to the common room. Students were still filing in, and considering the noticeable absence of any prefects, along with Wendy and Seokjin, Yeri was once again upset with Chaeyoung for waking her up so early.
"Yeri, over here." Chaeyoung called out from the couches.
"Was it really necessary to wake me up this early?" Yeri muttered as she seated herself on the couch next to Chaeyoung.
"If we're early, we'll look more attentive and prepared." Chaeyoung said. "Don't you want to make a good impression on the authoritative students?"
"We don't need to, Chaeyoung." Yeri said, exhaling heavily. "I'm Wendy's cousin and you're Seokjin's cousin. They already know who we are."
"So? We still have to be respectful to them, don't we?"
Yeri sighed, mentally face-palming herself as she hung her head. Sure, she loved her cousin, but being respectful to her all the time? No thanks.
After a few short minutes of Yeri wanting to hit her head against the corner of the coffee table in order to put herself out of her misery - she really didn't know where she was getting all these violent thoughts from; the corner of a coffee table, really? - all of the Ravenclaw first years, along with Wendy and Seokjin, had arrived in the common room.
"Hello first years!" Seokjin said, smiling enthusiastically. Yeri honestly had no idea how someone could be so awake at seven in the morning.
"My name is Kim Seokjin, I'm a fifth year here at Hogwarts, and the Ravenclaw Head Boy." He continued. "As Head Boy, I am responsible for keeping the school organized, as well as keeping our House together. I have the authority to call students out if they've been misbehaving or disobeying the rules, and I also have the authority to award or dock points from students, regardless of their House."
