7: Beginnings

Monday morning, Yeri was awakened by Wendy at the wee hour of 6 AM; which was way too early, in her opinion.

"Wendy, what the hell?" Yeri protested groggily. "Five hours of sleep is not enough for an anxious first year."

"Five hours?" Wendy complained. " Seriously, Yeri? Were you up all night stressing out?"

"Maybe." Yeri grumbled, sliding out of her bed. "What do you need me for anyway?"

"Authoritative student meeting." Wendy responded. "Head Students, Prefects; you know the drill."

"Actually, I don't." Yeri said shortly. "And how often do these occur, exactly?"

"Around three times a week." Wendy replied. Upon seeing the younger's shocked expression, she sighed, shaking her head. "Get used to it, Yeri."

"I most certainly will not."

"I believe it's our turn to host today's meeting?" A lovely, dark-brown haired girl said as she stood up; a Hufflepuff robe cloaking her slim figure. She looked expectantly at a black haired boy with teal splashes in his hair, who proceeded to stand up next to her. In Yeri's opinion, he looked way too tired to be present at this particular gathering.

"I'm Kim Jisoo; the Head Girl of Hufflepuff, for those of you who don't know." The girl said.

"And I'm Min Yoongi, the Head Boy and Captain of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team." The Hufflepuff boy continued off of Jisoo's sentence, looking around briefly and flashing Wendy a quick smile, to which she smiled back contentedly. Jisoo then proceeded to kick Yoongi hard in the shin, whispering the words "go and get mushy with your girlfriend later" rather fiercely before smiling as if nothing had happened at all.

"Since it's a new year," Yoongi continued, clutching his lower leg in pain, "let's have everyone introduce themselves, shall we?"

The students murmured in agreement, and both Jisoo and Yoongi nodded in satisfaction.

"Let's start with the Hufflepuffs." Jisoo said loudly. "You already know Yoongi and I. Let's move on to the Prefects, and then the rest of the Honor Members. We'll do the same for each House."

Yeri sighed quietly; she really wasn't in the mood to hear thirty-one other students introduce themselves. She made a mental note to request evening meetings instead of morning ones, due to the fact that she was literally anything but a morning person.

A lean girl with dark brown hair - who was significantly taller than Yeri herself - stood up, clearing her throat.

"I'm Kim Minkyung." She introduced herself. "A fourth year Prefect in Hufflepuff. I'm a Beater on the Quidditch team."

She seemed intimidating, and needless for Yeri to say, she was quite terrified to play against this girl in Quidditch; especially since she was a Beater, meaning she had the capability to knock Yeri's guts out of her body.

"I'm Nakamoto Yuta." A tall, wavy brown haired boy said as he stood up to Minkyung's left. "I'm a fourth year Prefect as well, and I play Seeker for the Hufflepuffs."
