Chapter 33

]We get into the trucks as we cleared the whole cemetery, making sure everyone left safe. The last thing I wanted was people who aren't involved getting killed. As we made our way back to Richards home I took out the small box Maya had gotten me.

She had order me a gift for my birthday and that isn't until the twenty-first of this month. Maya mother had told me not to open it until she was gone. At least that was the first promise I kept.

Opening the box inside was two small golden boxes with a letter. Feeling some pressure on my chest I take out a cigarette from my pocket. Lighting it up I inhale it making sure to get a lot of the smoke that will kill me one day.

Getting one of the boxes out I open it and see a rose gold bracelet with Maya's name engraved into it. I look at it confused until I open the other box, taking out a gold necklace with my name engraved into it and I felt my heart fall.

I look up to see Joe in the passenger seat trying not to make eye contact with me but in honestly I wanted him to tell me everything was going to be fine. That we were going to kill Darwin and Bruno and that I would feel better but he didn't and it didn't help as I read the letter.

Happy birthday Iwan.

You are turning twenty-six years old, may I call you grandpa now?

I am only kidding with you. Well I just wanted to tell you that I really like you and I hope things will get better for us.

I want to be happy with you.

I hope you like what I got for us. I don't know if you like matching things but I got this for the both of us.

The bracelet is for you since it hides under your watch in case you don't want anyone to see it. The necklace is mine so that everyone can see your name on me.

You are my first boyfriend so it means a lot to me.

She signed it. She signed it with my last name, she wants good for us. She wants to be happy with me. She really wanted to be with me, I didn't have to force her in anything! 

"Joe." I firmly say as I place the necklace around my neck and her bracelet around my wrist.

"Yeah?" He says as he turns around the seat. His eyes on me and I could see the fire in his eyes the same fire I had in mine. A wicked smile spread on his face.

"Who was watching from afar? Could it of been my best friend?" I ask as I load my gun making sure I had all my bullets to unleash. Looking up at him he nods his head no.

"No." He said and it ticked me hoping it was him. Bruno had mess with the wrong man he has seen what I've done to people. Does he think that I'm going to let this go? 

I look down and stare at the bracelet. Maya. I close my eyes preventing me from crying as I imagine her with me. She was carrying my baby and I didn't even get to feel what it felt like to have someone you made in your arms. Everyone of them will die. Call me heartless but I will not rest until they die.

"Joe call Lorenzo and tell him to find Bruno's family and bring them to the warehouse." I grabbed the small glass container from my pocket and laid a small amount of coke in my hand, sniffing it I wait until it kicks in. "Including the young ones." Feeling it sting for a bit I look up at Joe who already has his phone out talking in Russian.
