I looked at myself through the mirror. My body seem bigger. I mean my stomach was still curvy but my face and arms where a little chubby than they use to be. I look different than I did before.

Would I be a good mom? I just don't want to be those moms who can't protect their baby.

I smile at myself.

I want to be like a cat mom. Whenever she see a dog she doesn't hesitate and attack. I don't want to be weak and not help the child.

"Mrs. Brosko." I jump when I hear my name. I look up and see a maid, not making eye contact with me.

"Sir. Richard is asking for you he is in the kitchen." With that she leaves.

None of the employees look at me it's like if they do they will turn into stone.

Woof!

I jump when I hear Marcus bark. I turn and see him jumping on the bed his tail tucked in and run in a circle. His tail wagged like crazy and I guess he didn't want to be in this room any longer.

After I meet with Richard I'm going to take him outside he seems to be bored as well. I open the door and not even a second he runs out.

Going to my left I head to down the stair heading to the kitchen. I could smell smoke so someone was smoking inside. I see uncle Richard coming out of the door his eye lighten up when he see me.

"My dear Maya." He stretches his arms out to me and brings me into a big hug. "I heard the news! My first grandson!" He says making me giggle.

How would he know what the sex of the baby? I just barely found out I was pregnant.

He looks down and grabs my hands, laying a kiss on them. I watch him pause before his eyes landed on the small burns on them. He looks back at me his eye turning a shade darker.

"We will protect you. Do you hear me. Those men won't ever lay a hand on you."

It upsets me when someone brings that subject I don't care if they protect me I just don't want to talk about it, I don't want to remember anything.

I look down at the ground and nod my head.

I know they won't keep their promise for long.

I sat outside watching Marcus chase the grasshoppers. The sun was shining really bright but I sat under the shade.

Three men wearing dark sun glasses stand not far from my side as one was standing right in the sun in a black shirt. I could see the sweat fall down his neck and I thought he would faint any minute now.

I grabbed my note book and wrote something down so the man in the sun could read. I hate to be out in the sun and I didn't want him to stand out there just so he can watch me.

I hand him my Notebook and I watch him read it.

'GET OUT OF THE SUN.'

Plain and simple as he read it he looks down at me and nods. I walk back to the table and look to the empty seat next to me and I signal him to sit next to me.

I grab my notebook and began writing on it as he hesitates to sit

'ARE YOU OKAY? DO YOU WANT ANYTHING TO DRINK?'

"I'm fine Mrs. Rosko." His deep voice rings in my head and I smile. Everyone here all have deep voices maybe uncle Richard only hires men with deep voice to scare everyone off.

'WHAT IS YOU NAME?'

"Kane." He said with a straight face but I could see his eyes filled with joy as I asked him.
