Different But Loved

Chapter 16

"No please don't leave me here alone." I whisper to Iwan. I held his hand in a death grip. I didn't want to be left alone.

It has been an hour since the dinner was over and Bruno was staying over in the guest room a few rooms away from our room. During the dinner he hasn't stop looking at me.

He was one of the men who held down Sophie.

"Baby I'm just going to talk to my dad." He hugs me. I was grabbing on his shirt hugging him at the same time, making sure he wouldn't slip out.

"If you leave I will lock the door."

"Maya, baby whats wrong with you? You have been acting different all day." He grabs my face gently. Looking into my eyes. "What's going on?"

"Br-"

"Sir I'm sorry but your father has sent me to bring you to his office, if not my head is off."

I turn to see a guy standing at the door.

Iwan kisses me on the cheek before walking to the door. "I'll be back. It won't take long." He pops his head outside the door, his hand still in mine. "LORENZO!!!" Iwan yells and a few moments later Lorenzo is standing by the door.

"Sir."

He looks behind Iwan and smiles at me. "Take Maya outside show her around the pond." Lorenzo looks at me with a smile.

I just stand there looking at the floor. I was paralyze. Iwan is friends with one of the men who hurt me and Sophie.

"Baby look at me, look at me baby." Iwan grabs my hand. "Lorenzo will take care of you."

He guilds me to Lorenzo and I could see hurt in his eyes. Iwan hands my hand to Lorenzo and he takes it.

"Shall we go to the pond." Lorenzo asks as he squeezes my hand making sure that I know to trust him.

I nod my head and we walk out the room. I look back to see Iwan standing there as he waves at me. I give him a smile but I still didn't feel safe.

"The pond is beautiful, just like you. I hope you like it." Lorenzo says with his deep voice.

I look up at him and smile. "Do you like it?"

He turns to me quickly before giving me a smile which made me happy.

"OF course! I go there when I need to relax. It helps you think when you're stress. Only Mr. Brosko and I know where the pond is, and well now you once we get there."

We walk out from the back of the house. They have a huge porch in the back. We go down the steps and we make are way to pond.

"It might take a while to get there but if you get tired I can carry you Mrs. Brosko." He gives me this cheesy smile, which makes me laugh

"Maya, just call me Maya." I look at my shoes.

"Yes ma'am."

We walk for ten minutes and I was getting a little tired. I wasn't much of a work out person. I take a breath, trying to ease the pain on my ribs. I trip on a rock but quickly regain my balance. Well I thought I did until I saw Lorenzo holding my waist.

"Um, we're here Maya."

I look up and my breath stops or heart stops. One of them stopped for sure. The pond is beautiful. It looks like a scene in a movie.

"Do you like it?"

I nod my head before giving Lorenzo a hug.

I don't know why but do you ever have that feeling when you're so happy that you want to kiss, hug, scream? Well that happens to me every time.

"It's amazing."

The pond had clear water that you could see the fishes swimming around. A bench near the pond as a huge willow tree hovers over it.

I take a seat and inhale. Closing my eye as I hear the birds chirp.

I feel Lorenzo take a seat next to me. I lay my head against his shoulder as I listen to nature.

Iwan POV

After the arguement with my dad all I wanted to do is be with Maya. She was now the new person that can help me relax. She is the most peaceful person I have ever met.

I look at the time to see its been two hours since I've seen her.

I go check in our room only to see that she isn't there. Only to remember that she went to the pond with Lorenzo. I make my way down stairs and see Lorenzo carrying Maya bridal style. I quickly make my way to her.

"What happen." I look down at her scanning her body. I felt chills run my back.

"She fell asleep sir." Lorenzo says.

Ha she is just asleep.

"I'll take-"

"Iwan shipment gone wrong we need you now!" Alexander yells from the other side, putting his gun behind him.

Sh*t

I look at Maya and up to Lorenzo. "F*cking hell, cant seem to spent a day alone with her. Don't leave her side. Not even if we're being attacked, you protect her." I order him.

"With everything sir." Lorenzo say, making his way upstairs. Taking my gun I make sure to have enough ammo.
