PAIN #1

Chapter 11

Skulduggery scooped food into his mouth until there was nothing on his plate.

"It tasted delicious" Skulduggery spoke but soon felt his throat tighten leaving him in a fit of coughs.

"B-e-l-l-a can- can ya grab me some water" Skulduggery couldn't stop coughing, his throat burned and he was having trouble breathing.

"No can do, daddy" skulduggery was shocked at the change of attitude in his sweet daughter.

"What?" he croaked.

"You see Sophie's gone, mum's gone and your next"

"What?" Skulduggery was in tears. He was in so much pain.

"You're gullible, so oblivious." Skulduggery didn't understand, he couldn't think straight.

"Who was with Sophie when her car's break stopped working and the car ran into a petrol station exploding, killing her?" Skulduggery couldn't talk, his face was red and he kept gasping for air with no result but he pointed at his youngest daughter standing in front of him, watching him die painfully slowly.

"Me, I was. Isn't it amazing that I was the only one to survive? Isn't it funny how hundreds of people died but not me? And isn't it strange that I was the last person to work on Sophies car before she took it out on the road?" Skulduggery sat there putting pieces together until realisation took over his features and it hit him. Bella killed Sophie.

He tried to form words but just couldn't, he just watched in horror as his world broke down upon him. He wanted to scream, to cry but he just couldn't. He couldn't control his body anymore. He couldn't do anything.   

"I killed Sophie.

"You murderer!" Skulduggery cried out.

"Can I tell you another thing? I'm going to tell you another thing." Bella played with him.

"Who was Valkyrie seen with last? Who talked to her last? That's right me!" Bella laughed her wicked laugh as blood boiled within Skulduggery.

"Isn't it amazing that no one else saw her but me that night she disappeared? Isn't it funny how I was the last one to talk to her? Isn't it crazy she disappeared out into thin air? Valkyrie would never do that, would she? Leave her dearly beloved husband all alone with her insane daughter, heart-broken and depressed, never to love again." Bella dramatically cried out, putting her arm against her forehead, pretending to faint. She crackled, loving toying with her fathers emotions.

"You know what's weird?" Bella asked. "That your daughter went missing for hours on end that night and the following day and you never once questioned it." Skulduggery growled now knowing everything. He regrets not reporting that. He could have found Valkyrie but did he really want to see his love?

"I cut her up." Bella responded calmly like it was natural to admit to a murder. "Razor blades, knives, guns, water, and a defibrillator. I tried everything." Bella smirked as she watched Skulduggerys eyes turn dark black. He was raging.

"No one will ever know. You'll be safe I'll put you beside both of your beloved girl" Skulduggery was choking, he was so shocked someone that looked so innocent was the devil inside. He struggled to talk but eventually did with a lot of effect.

"Where?" He was struggling to breathe but was putting up a fight, hoping someone will hear but that's was a low chance.

"In the cabin, of course. Both bodies are there and your's will be there soon to. You know the cabin, right? The one in the woods where you guys loved so much" Skulduggery was surprised Bella remembered it. They stopped going there once Bella was born and sadly no one knew about it only Skulduggery, Valkyrie, Sophie and Bella.

"Why?" Skulduggery croaked out, coughing up blood. He didn't have long to live, he knew it. His body was shutting down little by little.

"Why? I want to protect you, look after all of you, to keep you safe. It was the only way, it is the only way. They tell me to" Bella answered truthfully

"Who?" Skulduggery wanted answers for what caused his precious girl to turn into a monster.

"Clarity" Bella replied very bluntly not giving Skulduggery the satisfaction on winning. He gasped, his face going a little pale.

"It's never too late to change your mind" He tried to reason with her but had little luck.

"Why would I change my mind? You'll thank me later" Bella laughed.

"Thank you for what!" Skulduggery raised his voice hopping to get the message across and stop it all but it was never that easy with Bella.

"Oh, that's right you won't be able to talk and there's really no reason to thank me" Bella croaked out a laugh.

Skulduggery turned pale, he couldn't hold in any longer. He wasn't ready to leave but knowing Valkyrie and Sophie will be there waiting for him made it a little easier. He took his last breath.

"Bella please, help me" He spoke his last words.

"Bye dad" He heard his last sounds. Bella stood in front of him and he saw his last thing before everything went black.

Bella watched in silence then it was conformed, Skulduggery Pleasant was dead.

Wow!!!! 😢😢😢😢😢😢 NOPE!!! IT CAN'T BE???? Oh but yes!!!!! RIP SKULDUGGERY!! Dearly missed. I'm so evil!!! 😂😂 Don't hate though. So now you know how Sophie died.

Last Chapter will be up so soon. Anyway looking forward to it??

And that picture though,  just makes Skulduggery's death worse. His pain!!!! I CAN'T HANDLE IT 😂😂
