Sonakshi didn't want him to see those papers, and she was still struggling to divert his mind away from the papers. She even starts to pretend that she having a pain in her abdomen. But Dev too was very stubborn. He instantly asked for a check-up but didn't leave the papers for even once. Sonakshi's all efforts went in vain. Dev started reading those papers and Sonakshi closed her eyes sorely. That was an adoption paper. Dev started reading them and he lost everything in his life in just a swift moment. This paper declared that he was adopted by his parents officially at the time of his birth. Dev's head started spinning. The papers dropped from his hands and tears started floating from his eyes. In the meantime, his parents came back from the party. Both got confused seeing Dev and Sonakshi in their room.
"Tum dono kya kar rahe ho yaha?", Ragini asked them, confused. Dev raised those papers towards both his parents in answer. Ragini and Yash looked at him confused, and glanced at the papers. Their eyes widened looking at the papers. Ragini's eyes turn wet at the corners. She rushed to Dev and held her son.
"Mom, mere adoption paper. Aapne mujhe adopt kiya tha? Aap dono mere parents nahi ho?", Dev broke down and his voice too broke down. Yash too got shattered. The secret they hid from the whole world came out in the open suddenly. Hearing the noise, all others too came there. Ragini was trying to calm him down but he was completely shattered at this moment and everyone was in shock. Even Deepak was unaware of the truth.
"Dev please look at me son. I am your mom and he is your father", she tried convincing him. Dev turned stiff. He didn't move and did not hear any voice. He had lost his identity today. Yash too came forward to handle him.
"Dev, look beta. You are our son and no paper can change this truth" , Yash was trying but his words were not bringing any effect on Dev. They tried convincing him but it wouldn't affect him. He rushed out suddenly, and walked towards his room. All others followed him but he locked himself in his room. Sonakshi was scared with his reaction. Shiv started knocking on the door and called him again and again but he wouldn't answer anyone.
"Mom please kuch kariye mujhe darr lag raha hai", Sonakshi pleads to Ragini. Ragini nodded and ordered Shiv and Vicky to break open the door. Both pulled from outside and after a hard struggle, they finally succeeded in opening it. The room was filled with darkness. Shiv was about to enter but Sonakshi ran inside quickly and locked the door again.
"Please mom iss waqt mujhe handle karne deejiye. Trust me please" , Sonakshi requested. Though Shiv objected, but Ragini was convinced with Sonakshi.
"Nahi Shiv she is right. Right now only she can handle him." Ragini confirmed to him shortly.
"But mom Dev needs all of us at this moment." Shiv objected again.
"I think your mom is right. Hum Dev se subah baat karenge. Is time woh shock me hai aur kuch bhi samjhne ke liye uska calm hona zaruri hai." Yash was convinced with Ragini and ordered everyone to go their rooms.
