Discomfort was still lingering in the air. Though they had bridged a huge gap between them, they still had a long distance to go. Currently they had become good friends and the rift between the two of them had vanished, but the spark that was required between a husband & wife was missing. They had become emotionally attached to each other due to Dev's past as well as their baby but not as a lovers. Dev was gradually trying to overlook the painful truth of his adoption but Vicky left no chance to irritate him. Whenever he found him alone he would remind him of his truth. The same happened today as well. Dev did snap back at him but his words were scorching him inside. He felt hurt every time Vicky would say such things to him. The feel of being stranger amongst his close ones was not letting him live in peace. Sonakshi overheard his convo with Vicky and she knew that Dev was tormented badly. To lower down his agony Sonakshi decided to confront him. Dev had eyes welled up, which he was perfectly trying to hide from her, but Sonakshi did manage to see through his silent tears. She managed to console him.

'Dev you know I have always been craving for the love of my parents and family. I was very small when both of them died in an accident. My uncle adopted me and sent me to a hostel. He only helped me financially but never gave me the love and care I craved for, something which you have got from your family. Do you really think that Vicky's taunts are much more important than your Parent's and brother's love? No right? he is no one in infront of your family's love for you. Dev they love you immensely, so don't insult their love by shedding your precious tears for a mere creep .'

Sonakshi took a step towards him as she got more closer to him. She removed his glasses and wiped off his tears which he was trying to hide from her. Dev starred intently at her as they both hugged in anticipation. He felt composed in her warmth. Gradually they had started getting closer but were yet to realize their feelings for each other. Next day Dev got up early as Sona had an appointment with Gynac and he didn't wish to be late. He woke her up and reminded her about the appointment. Sonakshi was astonished to see him more eager then herself whenever it concerned the baby. Dev knew more about her appointments and medicines. She got ready as they both left for her checkup.

'Dev tum office chale jao, I will manage.' She asked him to leave as he was getting late for his meeting.

'nahi Sonakshi mera yahan tumhare saath hona zyada jaroori hai.' Dev denied her politely.

'its ok Dev main chali jaungi apne aap.' Sonakshi assured him once again.

'maine kahan na Mrs. Dixit. Main kahin nahi jaa raha hoon aur ab ispar koi behas nahi hogi.' he replied with so much authority glancing in her ocean eyes that she wasn't able to utter a single word. The way he was looking her she felt a shiver down her spine. New sensations were building up in her body these days, which she herself was unaware of. Deep down she was happy that he won't leave her at any cost. Sonakshi had never been dependent on anyone for her needs. But off late she had started enjoying his company and his constant efforts to make her happy, every little thing he would do for her. Sonakshi pretended that she doesn't need his help but somewhere in her subconscious mind she always wanted him to be around her. His love and concern had now started affecting her tremendously. The person who's glimpse was enough to irritate her back then had now started affecting her positively. Emotionally she was already attached to him, But this feeling was something new and alien for her. His childish antics, his genuine gestures, each and every move of his was enough to tell her how much he cares for her .

Now a days she had not only changed physically but had also changed a lot on her emotional levels. She used to love him being around her, the care he would show towards her, his mock anger which he showed her sometimes to threaten her when she would throw tantrums while having her food or taking her medicines. His presence made her comfortable. Whatever little he did for her, she would appreciate that. The doctor examined her and declared both mother and baby fine. Dev sighed happily and dropped her home first before leaving for his office.

Days had started moving at a great pace and her baby bump was also growing gradually. It was just another casual Sunday and all were at home as always. Sonakshi was busy in kitchen with her mother in law. The rift between them had also died down by now. She now would give her the respect she deserved. Ragini asked Sonakshi to call Dev for breakfast. She nodded and left to call him. Dev had just come out of the washroom, after a refreshing shower and was just dressed in a towel around his waist. He was busy drying his hair thinking as he was all alone and Sona was nowhere around. Dev was leisurely combing his hair standing infront of the mirror when he didn't even realize that Sonakshi had entered the room. As far as Sonakshi was concerned she him viewing him like this for the first time. His pure male scent was stroking her nostrils, turning her feminine senses on. She stood dazed for a moment. Her hormones raged as she failed to control her desires and divert her gaze from him. Suddenly Dev saw her starring at him through the mirror as his eyes widened with shock. He hadn't expected her to come suddenly and here she was seeing him in his half nude state. Dev quickly turned towards her.

'tum???????... Mujhe laga ki door lock hai.' he said stammering with his words.

Sonakshi glanced back and locked the door from inside. 'Dev why are so scared? See ab toh maine door lock kar diya haina, ab koi nahin aayega..' she said while steadily stepping towards him.

'usi baat ko to darr hai.' he said without thinking twice about what he was saying. Sonakshi kept moving closer to him while he kept stepping backwards to maintain distance with her.

Dev kept moving backwards while picking up his shirt on the way and trying to cover himself, as Sonakshi smirked seeing him fumbling. She thought of teasing him more. Dev kept on moving back as his back hits the wall. Sonakshi caught hold of him instantly and caged him between her and the wall, her arms encircling his being. 'Dev why are you getting so tensed? Ab to maine door bhi lock kar diya hai. Ab humare beech koi nahin aayega!!!!!!!', she said huskily, thereby teasing his senses. Sonakshi didn't realize how tormented he was getting by her mischief. He was getting hard there and tried hard not to look directly into her naughty eyes. 'why did you come here?' he asked just to change the topic.

Sonakshi glanced at his face and caressed it with her finger. Her touch was instantly getting him charged but his mind was not allowing him to proceed. He clenched his fists and eyes hard to control his surging desires. Sonakshi smirked seeing him like a scared kitten. She went closer to his ears and whispered seductively,''don't worry!!!! I am not going to rape you!!!!!" Dev's shot his eyes wide open with her announcement. Sonakshi left the room, leaving a flabbergasted Dev behind after reminding him to come down for breakfast.
