-CHAPTER FIVE-
FIGHT FOR LOVE
*"There's nothing they can do, Rhea... he's gone, and you know that..." The young girl sat on the ground, wrapped in a blanket to keep the cold away from her pale skin. She looked like a ghost, no sign of life willing to make it's presence other than by her heartbeats and by her light breathing.
"I know..."
The girl said this with a flat tone in her voice, not even looking up at who was speaking to her. It was the girl's best friend, who had found out about what had happened, and arrived only to see the police holding her best friend Rhea back from the crime scene.
She joined Rhea on the ground, but Rhea failed to even notice. Her eyes drifted to the flashing lights of the police cruisers, to an ambulance, then to all the people that surrounded that yellow tape around the courtyard. She couldn't even bring herself to look at his cold, lifeless body again. When she ran away to never look back at him, she intended to keep it that way.
"Rhea, please don't be like this... don't pretend like it didn't happen, don't neglect him. I think you need to see him, at least one last time... it'll bring you some closure, I'm sure." Rhea slowly turned her head to where she faced her best friend.
"Okay..."
Rhea's friend helped her up, as Rhea continued to keep the blanket pinned against her body. They slowly walked over to the crime scene, and noticed that the lifeless body of Rhea's lover was being wrapped in a body bag.
Rhea busted out crying and fell to the ground, seeing nothing but lost hope for happiness as she watched the flower she had placed on his chest fall to the ground. Her friend tried her best to comfort her, but Rhea needed to deal with this on her own.
"I'm going to make sure that bastard rots in hell for killing my baby, I'll make sure of it if it's the last thing I ever do..."
"Who?"
"My ex, that scumbag doesn't even deserve to walk this earth anymore... I'll make sure he burn in Hell for what he did..."
Rhea's friend could only listen, as a black, shadowy figure watched on, soon disappearing into the cold night like a distant memory...*

Michael watched through the leaves of the nearby bushes, the ones that were in front of the student parking lot. He watched for a familiar car, and soon found it as it drove in and parked, it's headlights flashing to where he was creeping.
The light burned his sensitive eyes and skin, or what seemed to be sensitive, and it only made him more agitated.
"God, how I hate bright lights..."
He watched and noticed that Ann and Zach were sitting in the front seat of Zach's car, and his eyes flashed a look of pure hatred when he noticed Zach put his arm around Ann. He then saw something he didn't want to see- them kiss.
Michael's eyes glowed that bloody-red color in the night, as he quickly got angered even more when he saw that they had started to make-out. He raised one of his hands up in the direction of Zach's car, feeling electricity spark through his fingers. The engine of Zach's car started to smoke, and it didn't take long for Zach and Ann to notice.
They got out of the car quickly, and Zach told Ann to stay back as he checked out what was wrong. He lifted the front hood up, only to be greeted with a puff of smoke hitting him in the face.
Michael smiled a devilish grin once more, before disappearing from his hiding place as he waited to make his move.
"Ann, I'm sorry... but my engine mysteriously blew out, and I need to fix it." Zach went up to Ann, and hugged her and kissed her.
