Chapter Eleven- All For You

-CHAPTER ELEVEN-

ALL FOR YOU

The music started to die down, and the night was almost over as everyone huddled together for one last dance to end the Military Ball with a bang. Ann and Zach, however, went to the courtyard to get a breather and to spend some time alone together away from everyone else.

Ann sat in Zach's lap, as his arms were wrapped around her waist. They were sitting on the bench in the courtyard, looking up at the stars in the night sky. Ann snuggled her head on Zach's chest, and everything seemed to finally be over. The world around them was quiet, the only sound being the faint sound of the music in the distance. They were finally able to be at peace with each other, without having to worry about Michael, Daniel- anybody. It was just them, and no one else.

Ann could feel Zach's chest go up-and-down as he breathed, and she could hear his heartbeat. She smiled, wishing to stay in that moment forever.

"The sky is beautiful tonight, especially after that freak storm from early passed..." Zach said, admiring all the stars that had appeared in the night sky overhead.

"Yeah, it is..." Ann said, admiring the sight as well.

She then felt Zach lightly kiss her neck, his warm breath heating up her cold skin. Ann smiled in response, as Zach's breath continued to tingle her skin.

"But..."

Zach brought Ann's face to his, and brushed a strand of her long, dark mahogany hair from her face.

"It's not even close to how beautiful you are, not even close at all."

He placed a gentle kiss on her lips, replacing the last kiss that had been on Ann's lips- Michael's. Zach smiled in response to the thought.

"Wow, if you're anymore sappy you could make syrup..." Ann said, laughing then giving Zach a kiss of her own.

She then laid her head back down on his chest, her long hair cascading down along with it.

"So, do you know who the girl is that Michael was with?" Ann broke the still silence with this question, causing Zach to sigh before he answered her.

"Yeah, that's Ashley... I don't know much else about her other than her name, and the fact that she's a freshman... but, she seems nice enough."

"Yeah..."

There was silence once again, before the sound of people laughing and yelling filled the night air.

"I'm guessing the dance is finally over with..." Ann noticed, picking her head up once again.

Then she noticed Michael among them, but he was not walking alone. There was a girl with long blonde hair and bright light-blue eyes that was with him, and he was smiling as they talked to each other.

Zach noticed that Ann seemed a little distraught by seeing Michael and Ashley together like that, and quickly grabbed her and kissed her- just as Michael looked over at them.

Ann didn't know why Zach had done that, but she really didn't care- it was the best kiss he had ever given her.

Michael stared at them with a small frown on his face, before Ashley grabbed his arm and broke him from his daze. They continued to walk off, but Ann and Zach didn't even notice them anymore. They were so busy with their kiss, that they didn't even realize that they hadn't even stopped for a single breath.

Ann felt herself slip her tongue into his mouth, just as Zach had started to gently run one of his hands up one of her legs under her dress. She retreated after a few more seconds, and looked away from him.
