Welcome to the second Season.
Some cartoons are great, but unfortunately some networks treat them like garbage....thanks a lot assholes. Anyway these are my picks for the Top 5 cartoons that were mistreated.
For this list I'm going to be talking about shows that no matter how popular they were, the network treated them like garbage. Basically this list would be full of Pacifica Northwest's...you would have to watch Gravity Falls to get that reference.
Note: I know Nickelodeon does a lot but I'm keeping Nick shows to a minimum.
5) The Legend of Korra (Nickelodeon)
The successor to the amazing show, Avatar: The Last Airbender, this was to tell about the next generation Avatar. But unfortunately, due to its high budget Nickelodeon had to do some cutbacks, to it, they had to get a cheaper animation studio, make a clip show out of all things, and unfortunately suffered the SpongeBob Standard, which is a term created by Youtube animation reviewer RebelTaxi, when a show doesn't become as big a hit as SpongeBob, reruns don't get aired and the rest of the series airs on Nicktoons, or if live action TeenNick, yep it lost to that, as well as....
4) Invader Zim (Nickelodeon)
I think I was bound to get to this show at one point, now personally I didn't watch the show until later on but, I do enjoy it, hell I actually met the voices of Zim and Hit, and by the way, Zim actually sounds like that in real Life. Scary right? Anyway the first any one season only aired half the episodes in 2001 and then dumped onto Nicktoons 5 years later. But now that Nickelodeon is actually trying their best to revive some old shows, and this is one of them.
Alright enough Nicktoons, lets go to another network.
3) Penn Zero: Part Time Hero (Disney XD)
Fortunately, this show actually was treated decently like most Disney Cartoons but its due to lack of reruns and 2016 literally had no new episodes coming out what's so ever, and Disney took up until this year to air them, which makes it the longest Disney hiatus ever, beating both Gravity Falls and Star vs The Forces of Evil, but they kinda had a good reason why as Jared Bush, the series cocreator, actually worked on both Moana and Zootopia, Disney's Biggest Animation releases of 2016, so basically his was busy as hell. And for the second season they decided to burn it off as one of Disney XD's usual weird Attempts at Bingewatching. The show will end on July 28th, 2017.
2) Futurama (FOX/Comedy Central)
I was bound to get to this one at one point. Futurama is one of my favorite shows from the Early 2000's, the show was amazing and you can still watch reruns of it on Comedy Central every afternoon, well here in the states. Unfortunately this show hopped from Network to network, struggling to stay on the air, as the show started airing on FOX, then cancelled, reruns air on [adult swim] for 4 years, then get 4 Direct to DVD movies, then a bonus 2 season which aired Comedy Central, and cancelled a second time because of major Budget Cuts. But still is relevent to this day and the cast still gets together for Mobile Games and a 2014 crossover with The Simpsons.
And finally a show that, sadly, may not be on the air for long:
1) Steven Universe (Cartoon Network)
Before anyone in the comments say I'm jinxing it, in not its bound to happen now since the show is barely being rerun, we all know why Cartoon Network does that, and earlier this year with the episodes leaking worst than an old drain pipe, the show is bound to end soon, plus because of the lack of Reruns, my interest for the show has declined dramatically.
Do you know a show that was or is heavily mistreated by a network, tell me in the comments. Thanks for reading and I will see you next time.
