Chapter 1

CHAPTER 1

I woke in a cold sweat. I could still feel the wind whipping all around me. I shivered at the un welcomed memory. I slipped out of my warm covers and silently crept over to Lillian's room.

The door creaked open as I poked my head in. Lils snored softly under her covers. She seemed normal and innocent, the life she should've had. I was about to leave when the snoring stopped and I heard a soft "click" and then the snoring came back on.

"what the..."

I walked to the bed searching for the source of the noise. I reached my hand under the bed feeling for what I hoped not to find. My hopes were crushed when my hand came to rest on an old tape recorder.

"Damn" I muttered to myself.

I threw back the covers to find a pile of pillows.

"Lils." I groaned. Why did she have to be so.. so... childish? I ran back to my room and grabbed my jacket and flashlight.

I opened the door and got a blast of the cold wind, perfect. I groaned as I walked into the darkness of the night calling my sister's name.
