Chapter 12

CHAPTER 12

"What! How? But... But she was just....but she was just there and now... What?" I stood in confusion. Ben appeared beside me. His face held a look of annoyance which only confused me more.

"That damn Elf." He murmured to himself.

"Um hey, would be ever so kind to explain where she went or what happened?"

"The Elves have been working on new spells lately and it looks like Tuarwen just successfully used one..."

"But the question is why?" I finished his sentence and he nodded silently as he crossed his arms and his eyebrows furrowed in deep thought.

At that moment a Hawk flew into view followed by a much smaller bird. Their forms shimmered then solidified back to their original human form.

"Hey where did ugly face go?" Luke asked with a smirk on his freckled face.

"I don't know. I guess he beat it when you two left." His brother replied.

"Well never mind that we have bigger issues at hand." Lils said.

"Right of course getting almost attacked by a ruthless creature is not a big problem but please princess enlighten me on what is." Lils looked down and shuffled her feet clearly sorry she had ever spoken. I scowled at Ben for being so rude and answered on Lils behalf.

"She means that we are stuck in the middle of nowhere with a missing Elf. So yea I'd say we have other issues to worry about in which case we will worry about the beast once we get somewhere safe." Ben rolled his eyes and stalked away in defeat.

"Sorry, um, let me go talk to him." Luke said apologetically before jogging after his brother. I watched him run off before turning to Lils.

"You ok?" She nodded silently. I put an arm around her and gave a quick squeeze, not sure what to say. We stood in silence for a moment before Ben and Luke came back.

"So... does anyone have any ideas?" Luke said breaking the tension.

"I think I do." Lils said quietly.

Lils idea was one of which I did not approve of but we had no other choice.

I stood in the heat of the day nervously as Lils Changed into a form I did not think she was ready for. Luke being the more experienced Changer had already Changed and was all ready. I stood facing Lils as she slowly began to Change. Her form was like liquid. Forming different shapes and sizes before finding the right fit. Then it stopped then solidified and in front of me stood a white stallion breathing heavily.

"Your sister is quite the Changer, real powerful." Ben said with an unreadable expression.

"Yea, she is." Pride swelled in my chest. I said as I stroked her neck. She whinnied and began to prance. "Come on let's go!" She said in my mind. I climbed gracefully on to her bare back and glanced over my shoulder to see Ben being a bit less then graceful as he struggled to mount. I couldn't help but laugh as he finally scooted himself on to his brothers back. He caught me staring and giggling and gave me a smile and a shrug. Grabbing onto her mane we started trotting along side the road head to who knows where.

Sorry for not updating sooner it's just that I've been super busy and I'll leave it at that. Again please forgive any mistakes I will go back and edit. I sorta rushed this chapter a bit so I know it's not that good but please just keep with me. I might even rewrite this chapter to make Molly seem more confident. what do think?
