Suicide. Makes you a little uncomfortable doesn't it? One million people die from suicide worldwide per year, and to put that into perspective for you, that's one person every forty seconds. With it being the third leading cause of death it seems to be the highest ignored. No one ever wants to talk about the little girl who decided she didn't want to live anymore. The schools hang up the pretty little posters in the halls telling everyone not to kill themselves after people in my own school killed themselves. This wasn't a precautionary, they weren't up before the suicides. They were put up afterwards thinking they could help others with a little colorful poster, thinking words on a piece of fucking paper will stop a single child from killing themselves. I promise you those posters mean absolute shit. See, people are just so nice before they drive you to kill yourself. They with push you and shove you and kick you into the place of absolute break, and once you're gone?"Oh, how we loved her. She will be greatly missed by all." And it's such bullshit because everyone just pretends like they did absolutely nothing to push these kids to the edge. Everyone treated them like shit and society just expects us to ignore what we did to them no matter how guilty you are. And God forbid you speak up and say you want to kill yourself. Even though they say they're sorry and they want to help you get better, you will only receive the blows twenty times harder and they'll know exactly where to hit you. As an outsider you see them distance themselves and slowly slip into silence and you just think they're just having a hard time but they'll be back to normal the next day. So you go into class and you look to their desk, the chair is empty the last two days, maybe they're just sick and that's why they've been so quiet. And next thing you know they teacher comes in, tears in her eyes, and tells the class they killed themselves. Hope you're happy with your final words to them.
