My eyes have seen such suffering and terrible pain. They have been through heartbreak that lasted months and tears that ever end. They have seen someone who loved me dearly love another. They have seen a man's crippling intent to cause terror and pain. They have seen world catastrophes and seen a community deteriorate from the seams. They have experienced a boy who didn't understand the word no.
But at the end of the day, through all the pain, I've grown. The puffiness from crying has left my eyes. I've moved on from my previous lover. That man can no longer hurt anyone. The catastrophes ended and the community has healed. I no longer have to fight with the boy.
Give anything time and everything will figure itself out. It may not be exactly how you wanted it to be but in the end, life will do what it does; it will keep moving unpredictably.
