CHAPTER THREE

I took a deep breath and breathed out slowly. Once I got home last night, I immediately went to sleep and yesterday was a pretty weird day for me. I'm pretty sure Isaac Lahey is being abused by his father, Scott is going through a tough time and he's a pretty much a animal, my brother is also an animal, and I'm pretty sure Allison is walking up to me right now. I sighed, why does she want to talk to me? I'd rather go home and watch The Human Centipede, which is the worst movie ever... or read the Death Cure again, which brings me a lot of pain... or paint my nails orange, my most hated color.
She awkwardly coughed as she held a little teddy bear to her chest. She held it out to me, "I, um... bought this for you."
I glanced at the small teddy bear as she handed it to me. I grabbed the bear and noticed it had writing on its stomach.
Can we be friends?
I can't lie and say that it didn't bring a smile to my face. Once Allison noticed my smile, she started to laugh, "I knew you would like it..."
I raised an eyebrow at her, "You don't even know me..."
She shrugged, "I know you have two best friends; one has a mop of brown hair, the other has a buzz cut. You have an extremely hot twin brother, and you have a cousin that is the most popular girl in school. Need I say more?"
I laughed out loud as I stared at the brown haired girl. Allison is actually really nice. It was rude of me to be mad at her just because she has eyes for Scott. Allison gave me oogly eyes, "Oh, wait! And you and your best friend are dating."
I snapped up at her confusedly, "What are you talking about?"
"You and Scott... aren't you dating?"
I face palmed and sighed, "No! Why does everyone think Scott and I are a couple?!"
Allison whipped out her hand and started to count out her fingers with the other, "You hold hands, kiss each other on the cheek, always super close to one another... again, need I say more?"
I ruffled around my curled hair , "Seriously, Allison, there is nothing going on."
Allison's eyes lit up as she stared down the hall, "There goes your boyfriend. I'm gonna hide behind the wall over there and witness everything."
She put a thumbs up to me before going over and hiding behind a wall. I turned back around to see Scott standing in front of me with red and blue flowers. A smile crept its way onto my face and I grabbed the flowers from him and took a whiff. They actually smelled quite good, "Is everyone buying presents for me today?", I smirked.
Scott wore an ashamed look on his face as he
was staring down at his feet, not saying anything. His mouth kept opening and closing as if he was trying to say something but couldn't find the right words. The poor boy was practically having an aneurysm right in front of me.Goddamn it, I have a soft spot for him.
I grabbed his right hand and interlocked our fingers as I noticed that he instantly calmed down. His shoulders weren't so tense and his mouth stopped moving. He breathed in and out heavily before finally looking at me. I grinned at his adorable brown eyes, sorrowfully staring at me.
