CHAPTER FOUR
DUTY CALLS|||||||||||
I grinned at my three boys walking onto the lacrosse field as Scott was looking around nervously, Stiles was digging in his nose, and Sam was waving at every girl in the stands. My mom sat down next to me and I smiled at her. I rolled my eyes at the boys as Lydia tapped me, "How about him?"
She pointed at Danny, who is actually a very nice but gay guy. He was cute and funny but he belongs to the other team... if you get what I mean. He absolutely loved me for some reason.
I raised a brow, "You know he's gay, right?"
She nodded while laughing, "It was just jokes... how about him? He's cute."
She pointed at Isaac, who had a couple of bruises on his face and I'm damn sure they weren't from a fight. I shook my head, "No... he's cute and all but he isn't my type."
Lydia stomped her foot down on the stands before looking at a guy who plays for our school and I definitely seen him in the hallways plenty of times. His hair was brown and styled a perfect way. He caught me staring at him and flashed me a toothy smile as he held up a phone sign to his ear with his thumb and index finger, mouthing, "Call me."
I grinned back at him and nodded quickly before turning to Lydia and she had a big smile on her face. I rolled my eyes at her but still smiled, "Okay, yeah, he's cute. I'd definitely date him."
Lydia clapped her hands together like London from Suite Life of Zack and Cody used to do. After I called the guy cute, I could feel Scott's sad mood as he looked at me with an expression of complete despair. I shook it off, he's probably nervous about killing someone on the field. But, the thing that was confusing was that the guy who I called cute turned around to look at me again and his grin only got wider as if he heard what I said.
Lydia poked me continuously, "So... will you date him?"
I shrugged slightly, "Only if he asks me out."
Lydia couldn't reply to that because the referee blew the whistle, and the game commenced. The weird thing was... no one was passing the ball to Scott. Our team kept passing it around and once it got to Sam, he quickly threw it at Scott, who was happy to finally get the ball. But, Jackson rammed into him harshly, sending him to the dirty grass as Jackson picked up the ball, ran, and hailed at it the goal and it hit it, striking right past the goalie. The crowd erupted in cheer as Lydia stood up quickly and jumped up, clapping.
Jackson was seriously being a little bitch. He wanted all of the fame and glory to himself. And, Lydia still wonders why none of us like him.
Sam quickly went over to Scott and helped him up and I got could feel Scott's glare on Jackson as Coach applauded, "That's it, Jackson! Get fired up, fire it up!"
Allison walked over to us with her dad behind her and she greeted us as her dad smiled at us. Freaking werewolf hunter. Lydia grinned and tapped Allison and said something to her and Allison nodded. Lydia leaned down before picking up a sign I noticed her fidgeting with before the game started. Lydia held it up and Allison helped her with it. It read, "I LUV U JACKSON" with a heart. Lydia pressured me to hold it up and I rolled my eyes before holding it up with them. Scott noticed us holding it up and his expression only got gloomier. Something weird is really going on with that boy.
