CHAPTER TWELVE
MINIMUM MARTIN

||||||||||

"Is everyone all right?", Stiles questioned once the four of us were safely behind the school's doors, even though we didn't have anything to lock it with. I was downright freaking the fuck out. A freaking wolf-dog-Hulk-shit is standing right outside of the school to kill us. Don't forget that it's most likely extremely fast so death is imminent.

"All right?", I repeated at Stiles crazily, "Why the hell would we be all right?"

Stiles rolled his eyes and was about to reply until Scott started to breathe heavily, "We have to lock it!"

"Dude, none of us has a key!", Sam sassed back while still holding onto me.

"Grab something! Anything!"

Stiles sighed softly for a moment before he started to get up and inspect outside from the rectangular windows embedded in the school's double doors. He wore a look of determination as he turned his head to stare at all of us. Scott, being just as confused as the rest of us, stood up also and looked outside. He turned to Stiles with wide eyes, "No."

"Yes."

"What is he doing?", I whimpered out and Scott sighed.

"To get the bolt cutters from outside."

My eyes were now on Stiles, sternly, "Stiles, you better not go the hell out there."

"I'm doing it."

Ignoring our protests, Stiles opened the double doors and slowly walked down the school's steps. Sam let go of me and pulled me up with him, so we could see Stiles' plan. The two of us walked over to the door near Scott, seeing Stiles slowly walking towards the yellow bolt cutters laying on the cement ground. As he got closer, my eyes locked on the one and only Alpha, hungrily staring at our pale best friend as the huge wolf came from around the back of Stiles' jeep which was only a few feet away from Stiles.

"Stiles!", I yelled at him and Sam and Scott both started to pound on the door. Stiles looked back at us confusedly until turning around and noticing the wolf stalking towards him. As Stiles stared at the intimidating wolf in shock, Sam quickly opened the double doors. I grabbed onto him, trying to stop him, "Sam, no, don't go out there!"

"Stay right here, sis, I'm not going anywhere."

Sam quickly left as Scott wrapped his arms around me, incasing me in his arms. I started to whimper again and tried to ignore the butterflies forming in my stomach from Scott holding me. We were watching Sam run down to Stiles before grabbing ahold of him and then the both of them began running back towards us as the Alpha chased after them. Once they got close enough, Scott let go of me and opened the door for them. They both ran in, and Stiles immediately jammed the bolt cutters into the double doors' mechanism, locking us in the school.
I launched myself at my brother, taking him into my arms and leaning up to kiss his forehead, "Don't you ever do that again."

Sam nodded, "I won't."

I let go of him and quickly hugged Stiles next, until Scott spoke up, "Where'd it go?"

My brother, Stiles, and I walked back over to the doors, looking outside and seeing nothing but Derek's blood on the ground and Stiles' jeep. "Great, just great, now we lost him", I sighed as Scott softly exhaled and stared at the bolt cutters.
