Heart 19: Earthquake

"But storms always end, you know..."

"Well, I mean we can save the guests," paglilinaw ko kay Damon. "But not these guards or the King. Hindi pa natin alam kung paano talaga sila maililigtas. We can't counter Seth's magic yet."

I removed my gloves and threw it. We noticed that the guards called for back up. Apat na kawal ang humahabol sa 'min ngayon. Mukhang hindi talaga maiiwasan ang laban.

"I hope the plan can save us too," pagbibiro ni Damon.

"It will," I answered with a small laugh. "Now, let's shake everone off and create this earthquake that will save their asses," I said and grinned. "Mapipilitan silang lumabas sa palasyong ito, sa ayaw o sa gusto man ng hari. We need them out of this castle as soon as possible."

"That's brilliant!" Damon exclaimed. "Simulan na natin. Magkita na lang tayo palabas ng palasyo," he said with a short nod. I nodded at him. Naghiwalay na kaming dalawa. Alam na namin ang gagawin. Lumiko ako sa isang pasilyo at tumigil sa harap ng isang pader. I made small magic circles on it.

Tumakbo ako sa kabilang pasilyo nang mapansin ang dalawang kawal na tumatakbo na sa direksiyon. I still hadn't activated the magic spell. I waited for the guards to turn to where I am hiding. Isang malakas na hampas sa batok ang sumalubong sa isang kawal nang lumiko siya sa pasilyong kinaroronan ko. He fell on the ground unconcious. When the next guard turned, I grabbed his hand, lifted him on his feet and slammed his back on the floor. I casted a sleeping spell at him to make everything easier.

I headed straight to the exit of the palace as I marked the walls and floor with small magic circles. When I saw Damon before I reached the exit, I sighed in relief. He extended his right hand to welcome me.

"Shall we?" nakangising tanong ko sa kanya. He nodded. Nang lumingon ako, may humahabol pa rin sa 'min.

"Do the honor, My Lady," he said with that boyish grin.

Tumango ako sa kanya. I started to activate the magic circles and chanted the spell.

"Strong walls

Lose your ground

Shake everyone off

Rumble. Peace be gone."

The whole palace started to shake and quietly rumbles. Dust fell from the castle's ceilings and we almost lose our balance because of the intensity and magnitude of the sudden earthquake. Mabuti na lang nahawakan agad ako ni Damon sa baywang at inaalalayan palabas ng palasyo. Napansin ko ang mga kawal na biglang naalerto. We walked out of the palace and the guards outside are so clueless that they just ignored us.

Naghintay kami sa labas hanggang sa makita namin ang mga taong tumatakbo palabas ng palasyo. No one can stop them. Pakiramdam ko, guguho ang palasyo dahil sa lakas ang lindol na ginawa ko. Hinila ko na si Damon at agad na sumakay kami sa karwahe. I don't think it's still wise to stay and be stuck on a stampede.
