Chapter 1

1 month after the wedding
"Come on Simon! I thought you improved your aim! said Clary nervous."
"I tried my best to improve, but it's very hard! said Simon pissed. I don't think you were amazing at this at the second training!"
"Yes, she was! said Jace in his arrogant tone while entering the training room. Clary, your mother and Luke just called. They said they are going to be here in an hour. "
"Oh, ok. Simon, do you mind if we'll train tomorrow? said Clary with a trembling voice."
"No, don't you worry. And Fray, keep calm, your mother will be very happy when she will see you."
"I hope so too, said Clary in a disappointed tone."

*flashback* (2 days after the wedding)
"Mom, why is it so hard for you to let me stay in the institute while you and Luke are on your honeymoon? I'm not a child anymore, I can take care of myself and Simon is going to be there too!"
"It's not that I think you are a child or I don't trust you, I don't trust Jace. I know you can take care of yourself, because you are such a strong woman! said Jocelyn in awe while trying to embrace Clary."
"Don't even think to touch me, Jocelyn! I thought you were over that, I thought that you and Jace were finally on good terms, but it seems that I was wrong!"
"Clary..."
"What are you going to say now, mom? Huh? said Clary cutting off Jocelyn in an angry tone. Do you even know how much Jace worships you? How he looks up to you?"
"Clary, I..."
"You had no idea, because you just made stupid assumptions without even trying to know him better! "
At this point, both Jocelyn and Clary were crying. After Clary finished all she had to say, Clary stormed out of the library and ran as fast as she could.
The next day, Jocelyn and Luke were leaving for their honeymoon. Everybody came to say their goodbyes, except of Clary who never showed up. What nobody knew was that Clary was still in the greenhouse, where she found herself running to the day before, crying.
*end of flashback*

Jace came closer to Clary and embraced her. He was drawing calming circles on her back. He said:
"Don't you worry, everything is going to be fine, I promise you!"
"How is everything going to be fine, Jace? I haven't talked to her since they left! I only talked to Luke and I hated that he was our messenger!"
"Clary look into my eyes! We both know that you two love each other the most in this world and that as soon as you'll see each other you'll start crying and you'll hug the air out of each other!"
"I got to agree with Jace on this one, Clary, you and your mother are unbreakable!"
"No way, my boyfriend and my best friend are agreeing on something! I'd say it's a first, but we all know it happened before."

They were all laughing now.
"We all know that all I say is always agreeable."
"Well, Mr. Herondale, I see that you have your modesty with you today!"
"Well, Mrs. Morgenstern, for your bestie, always."
"Ok guys, enough with the banter. We've got to prepare this place so Clary's parents won't feel bad that Clary stayed here. Do you hear me Jace?"
"Yes, yes daylighter, said Jace lust in Clary's eyes."
"First, I'm not a daylighter anymore and second stop canoodling, we've got two parents to impress!"
"Jace, Simon is right. We should really get going."
"Ok, fine! But tonight you are all mine! whispered Jace so only Clary could hear him."

They all went to the library and started to clean the place.
