The day seemed to go by fast to dawn because before she knows it, the Second period is almost over. As the bell rings for the ending of class, dawn gets ready to go to her favorite class period. This was her favorite class because it didn't require her to talk all the time, all she had to do was turn in her work and avoid eye contact with the teacher when he asks for a volunteer.
She walks to her 3rd period and sets her bag down. Dawn has first lunch, so she heads to the lunch to meet up with her friends. I walk in and automatically put my head down. "Y'all watch out precious coming through" I hear Isaiah say while all of his friends start to laugh as I walk by. I walk by as if it didn't hurt. I finally push through all the commotion in the lunchroom and finally, find my friends.
"What did Isaiah the roach say to you," Penny says as I sit down in between Kendra and Loren. "Nothing, he tried to hurt my feelings like always but it didn't work," I said hurting on the inside but I refuse to tell them that. "Oh that's good because if he did I would have to smack that sheep ass he calls hair off his head," Penny said making the rest of us laugh. For the remainder of lunch, dawn and her friends sat there laughing and talking about oncoming events such as prom and graduation. When the lunch bell rings, they all depart and dawn goes to her class.
