"What has you smiling so hard" Loren says hugging me. "Nothing much but I did meet these boys today and they were pretty cool I guess" I said walking towards my car. "One of them wants me to go play basketball with him and I him I'll go" I say looking at Loren. "Do you want us to come with, we all know this is your first date" Loren said smirking sarcastically.
"First, it's not a date and secondly, yes please come. I'm really scared I might say something stupid" I said begging Loren. "Oh you're serious, we'll definitely go" Loren said before waving at me and driving off leaving me in the parking lot smiling from ear to ear. I've never felt so happy to go play basketball again. Angelo was just a plus. My feelings suddenly switched as I remember I use to play with my dad all the time before he stopped playing with me because he had got a new job being a weather man.
As I get in the car, I just remember all the good times and how happy I was in the past before middle school. Middle school was where everything seemed like it had changed. My dad and mom was around less and that's when I started to get bullied. The weird thing though was izzy and I were friends back then. We were close and I thought nothing would ever change that until she started acting different and was blowing me off for her new "friends" which were the same kids that use to bully me, which are now her groupies.
The only good thing about middle school was after izzy stopped being my friend, I met Loren, penny, and Kendra. As I'm bringing myself out of my thoughts I was around the corner from my house. I was confused because I don't even remember starting the car. I guess god made a way and protected me on my way home as I was engulfed by my past.
