Chapter 4

When class starts the teacher starts to hand out a rubric. "Good morning class, you all will have a final group project to do" the teacher said still passing papers out. Dawn hated those words but there was nothing she could do about it. " If your seniors, you are required to do this project about how your four years were and how high school affected you, if your underclassmen's your projects will be on your future out of school. Also you will be in groups of 6 and preferably seniors get in groups with other seniors" Mr. Sim says.

"Oh yeah, if this assignment isn't done on time or not turned in at all, you will fail". Dawn, with the rest of the class all sighed with annoyance. " You guys will have two weeks and a half to do this as of now and start getting into groups of six and brainstorm" Mr. Sim says as the class became filled with commotion. All dawn could do is put her head down on her desk. She always put her head down so the teacher can exclude her from group work in the past and she thought this will be one of those special occasions but she was shortly mistaken.

"Dawn" I hear my name being called by an unfamiliar voice. "Mr. Sim said you can be apart of our group" said this unknown person. I look up and see mr. Sim with a devious smile on his face. I stand up rolling my eyes walking to the group until being stopped by this stranger.

He turns to me to and before he starts to talk, My body froze as I stare into his beautiful dark brown eyes. I can see his mouth moving but I couldn't hear a thing he was saying. "Hello" the stranger questions. I snapped out of my thoughts and automatically put my head down. "I'm sorry what were you saying" I said refusing to look up again of fear of being frozen again. "I said Hey, my name is Demetrius and this is Angelo, Izzy, Reggie, and Isaiah" Demetrius said as I look at him with a confused look of how I didn't recognize Reggie, Izzy, and Isaiah in the group.

"What's your name" Angelo said while staring me up and down. "My name is---". "We already know your name" Izzy said stopping me from speaking. "Shut up izzy, Demetrius and I want to know her name" Angelo said. "I already know her name" Demetrius said causing everyone in the group to take the attention off of me onto him. Izzy rolls her eyes at dawn and puts her head on Demetrius' shoulder breaking the staring match between him and dawn. Dawn instantly looked down thinking they must have been a couple.
