Angelo and I are sitting on the opposite side from the rest of the group talking about the project before I pull out a piece a paper and write key points down. I feel a nudge on my arm and decided to look up. Angelo leans over and whispers in my ear "Look at her trying to flip that stiff weave in her head". Angelo and I start to laugh causing the rest of the group to look at us. "What's so funny" Demetrius ask with a streak of jealousy in his voice.
" oh nothing just an inside joke between my new best friend and I" Angelo says putting his arm around me and winking at Demetrius. I look at Angelo and smile a little, I never really had a lot of friends especially friends that were boys. "Well class is almost over and we have to find a way to communicate outside of school, we can make a group chat" Reggie says to Demetrius with excitement in his voice.
Everyone is writing their number down on a piece of paper Isaiah took out. The paper finally gets to me and as I'm writing it down Angelo ask "706 number huh, you must be from Georgia " he says catching my attention. "Yeah, are you from there" I questioned as I realize his arm is still over my shoulder. "No but I have family down there and I spent every summer there since I was 6".
As Angelo and dawn continues to talk about any and everything, Demetrius can't help but feel jealous. He thinks dawn is mysterious and amusing, he wishes it was him she was opening up to but it seems like it's too late now. Even though Demetrius and Angelo are best friends, he hates him for talking to dawn before he could.
"Eww dawn, you even have fat girl handwriting" Isaiah said causing dawn to look down. "Aye, look y'all better cut it out before I --" Demetrius said before getting cut off by the ringing bell.
