I walk through the door and it feels like I'm in the hot seat. I can feel eyes watch me as I walk back to the group. "You okay baby girl," Angelo says while pulling me into a hug. Demetrius looks away from Angelo embracing dawn. "I'm fine, trust me I'm use to it" I say breaking the comforting hug.
"Okay you guys, what if we split up into Twos to get work done faster" Angelo said. Demetrius looks at him with a confused look. " or.. separate the group in threes" Demetrius says while staring at Angelo. "Okay, dawn and I and whoever she chooses" Angelo said wrapping his arm around dawn's shoulder. " umm... Demetrius do you want to be in ---". "no, he's in our group" Izzy says interrupting dawn from finishing her sentence.
"Are you stupid, that'll be four people and we'll only have each other. Unless you only want it to be us too" Angelo said to dawn causing Izzy to roll her eyes. Angelo sits there waiting for dawn to respond. Before dawn got to answer, Demetrius says "I can speak for myself, I'll be working with dawn and Angelo but I'll make sure we're all on track and work with everyone".
"Okay, I guess, you're still coming over to my house this afternoon to "study" right?" Izzy says biting down on her pencil looking at Demetrius. "Not today because I'm playing ball this afternoon but let's try to focus on how this project is going to play out, so everyone lets see what we can do" Demetrius said and the group gets to work.
